Sure the T77E is gonna be a lowish BR one but I suppose that 5.7 will be covered by the skink ( that one works even higher up as well).
The skink in very very well armored for a mid BR SPAA and can defo work, especially if you bait the planes into you.
So idk just wait n see, it may work out for the better.
I hope it at least performs as well at the BTR-152D. Even if Its low BR, I’m confident it will give US mains a nice alternative to 40mm guns and hopefully the enclosed fighting compartment will give players a bit more protection from MG strafing.
In its designated role, T77E1 will be better than Skink or Wirbelwind. You will see it qickly raise in BR. It will be on par with Kugelblitz. The only issue is it’s only rank II.
Rank IV at BR 5.7 would be more suitable IMO.
I am saying that as a player of USA mind you.
That said, USA relies on its airforce to suppress enemy planes. It doesn’t need SPAA that much even considering the massive gap in the SPAA line.

It only goes that high if they were to give it the .50 cal SLAP rounds, which would be pretty ahistorical. API-T is only going to be effective against other SPAA and some arty vehicles.
which Real SPAAs do you have in mind for the BR gap?

They are not going to fix the whole gap in one shot. They are adding needed spaa’s to the tree and there will be more added you just have to give it time
especially because the skink is already closing the gap from 4.0-5.3
I do think it’ll be good, but that’s far too high. 6 .50s is not bad burst mass, but against faster targets when you can only get the lead right for a split second, a lot of higher tiered aircraft can shrug that off (I speak from experience with the P-51H).
Plus it’s not exactly strafe-proof. The glass domes protecting the gunner and commander are supposedly all but unarmored, meaning anything over rifle caliber guns are probably going to be able to get through. At best, it’ll be strafe resistant, like the Wirble.
Then there’s the complete lack of AT ability. The Kugel’s HVAP belt is pretty sad, but it’s at least something. .50s aren’t even going to be able to kill BMPs consistently.
