I love the BAE Hawk. Im also genuinley intrested in the hawk 209 but its raised a few questions.
Why does the 209 get AGM 65D but the british ones only get AGM 65B despite being a lower BR? Its an objectivley better CAS aircraft from this at a lower BR
Why does the 209 only get aim 9P-4 (a 9L with worse motor ) when the 200s get 9L? Its not tha big of a difference and would help the 209 out a lot in air battles
Why cant the 209 get the flechette and heat rockets? a
Why cant the weapons available be on all thee hawk 200s in the game? If a AGM 65 B can be fired by it then a AGM 65D can and vice versa, same for sidewinders
I do want the 209 to play japanese air but it simply doesnt feel right when theres such an incredibly weird choice being made with what weapons go where.
If the weapon loadouts had parity i would have already preordered the 209
forgot to mention this.
the RDA has AGM 65B at 11.0, the only way you can play it in ground is taking it to 11.7, GIVE IT 65D TOO GAIJIN
In GRB the 209 is 10.3 with 2x Aim-9P-4 + 2x AGM-65G + 2x spare hardpoints
The 200 is 10.7 with 4x AGM-65Bs. (Despite the A-10A being 10.3 with 6x AGM-65Bs.)
The loadout disparity is annoying and frustrating. The 200 RDA isnt even worth mentioning in GRB because of its BR.
In ARB… the 209 does probably sit at about the right BR, but why doesnt it get 9Ls? They have said time and time again that nation equipment doesnt matter, so they could buff the 209, give it 4x 9Ls so it performs similarly to the 200 at 10.7
It’s not average [it’s never average], it’s peak capability.
It’s that you can bring 4x AIM-9Ls on why the Hawk 200 is 10.7.
A-10A is 10.3 because you can bring 2x AIM-9Ls.
The AGM-65Bs? They’re worthless at 10.3/10.7, the 9Ls however aren’t.
It’s why Jag will remain my CAS around that BR. I’m glad it doesn’t have 9Ls.
Hawk 209 can bring 2x Aim-9P-4 and 2x AGM-65G + 2x extra wepaons with 60 CMs at 10.3
A-10A can bring 2x Aim-9Ls and 6x AGM-65Bs + extra weapons with 480 CMs at 10.3
Hawk 200 can Bring 4x AGM-65Bs with 60 CMs at 10.7
A-10A Late can bring 4x Aim-9Ls and 6x AGM-65Ds + extra weapons with 480 CMs at 10.7
Hawk 200 RDA can bring 2x Aim-9Ls and 4x AGM-65Bs with 60 CMs at 11.0
In terms of GRB, nothing is balanced regardless of whether you look at A2A or A2G performance and given that there is better CAP aircraft for Britain at 10.3 and 10.7. A2A certainly doesnt play a role in this.
Exactly. So why ever uptier our 10,7 lineup to 11.0 just to bring the RDA that has Bs. Or why ever bring the Hawk 200 at 10.7 when the Sea Harrier FRS1 is just better in A2A with the same number of 9Ls. They should be balanced for their A2G as strikers not their A2A (which doesnt even make sense) and so should be lower.
As for ARB… the BR make more sense, but there is an argument to be made that the Hawk 209 could be better suited getting a little… more and being 10.7 instead, or getting 9Ls instead of P-4s to bring them on par with aircraft like the A-10A also at 10.3
air isnt where the hawks are made for. they are trainers turned striker.
then why is the 209 lower in ground too?
2 65Ds is superior to 4 65Bs because you can lock on from twice the range.
a normal loadout for the 200 (the one i use in GRB frequently is 2x aam and 2x a2g. in most engagements a 9-4 and 9l are the same and having a better maveric lower is flat out better no matter.
and then the 209 can carry mighty mouse rockets for a rocketeering run afterwards or to be emergency flares.
