That’s not an argument.
Ground RB has multi-spawn which makes that impossible.
It’d also be unrealistic and while bombers are limited to 4 [as the sole vehicle in War Thunder with limitations in any game mode, and it’s only in air RB not sim or arcade], it’s a feature I personally dislike.
Yes, but that would be an instance of balance that would be okay. I feel like you’re still not getting the point. Military aircraft are produced to counter a certain asset the other side has. If you have a match maker that mirrors your team, you have no real balance as you can’t use your jet or plan to its advantages because the same jet on the other team will have the same advantages you have, effectively canceling it out.
Aircraft are not designed to counter specific assets, that’s not a thing.
Aircraft are designed to be as effective as possible for what the side thinks may occur.
The last aircraft designed specifically to intercept bombers were F-104 and Mig-21, which are both 9.3 currently.
Mig-21 later became a light fighter and general interceptor, and F-104 stayed an interceptor.
Every jet since has been designed to be air superiority of some kind.
That’s the only time any jet was designed to take on a CLASS of vehicle, not specific vehicles, a class of vehicles.
Zero jets have been made to take on specific vehicles.
nato vs ussr? play cold war sim
That literally means the same thing lol. So thanks.
It’s almost like what I said. Put all copy paste vehicles on one team. Every T-72 on one team, every F-16 on one team, etc.
Well maybe if Gaijin didn’t make all the minor nations suck, people would play it more. I mean, wouldn’t you rather use the OP Tigers over using a Solid Shot Sherman Firefly that cannot reliably one shot the Tiger. Oh, and let’s not forget how terrible France is with their Solid Shot up to 8.0, or how Japan cannot pen anything with their HEAT rounds. Or how painful Rank I Italy is with nothing but machine gun tanks and the L3 who can barely pen itself. China is like the only non-sucky minor nation, but that’s because it is just Russia and America.
No.
That’s not how anything works.
“Minor nations suck…”
Which one. Cause Israel is the “weakest” but it has the best 9.3 lineup, and its top end is easily competitive.
Just cause it’s not France, Japan, Italy, Germany, China, or USA doesn’t mean it’s bad.
Oh wow, a niche BR that takes me a full minute to get into! I’m so glad Israel is specifically good at one BR. Now let’s talk about how strong Germany, Russia, and America are at every BR. I don’t believe in Russian bias, but I can definitely say they are a great nation.
France is supposedly great at 7.7, but that BR also has the likes of the M-48 Patron (one of my favourite tanks to use in 7.7 Customs), Tiger IIs, IS-3s, IS-4s, T-44s, and even the Maus. What do the minor nations get? Oh yes, the never-ending nerfing Fox, non-stable Eland and their French cousin, Italy is irrelevant, and I believe a couple of funny Howitzers for Germany and Japan.
9.3 has the likes of T-72s, Leopards, and early Abrams. What do the minor nations get? Oh yes, Centurion with 105mm cannons, CV autocannon that can barely pen frontally, and T-72s and Leopards gifted to Italy and Hungary to make them slightly usable.
@GALWAYLION
Niche BR? 9.3 is the most popular BR in the game as all 10 tech trees have great lineups for it.
Britain has one of the best 7.7 lineups in the game, and the Fox had barely been nerfed.
AML-90 is a great armored car.
Early Abrams is 10.7.
The 105mm Centurion with thermals and laser range finder, one of which is the best Centurion in the game being OP [Olifant Mk2] is easily equivalent to superior to Leopard 1A5, T-72A, etc.
Ah yes, so popular it takes me a while to get in. Also, very popular with all the T-72s, since that’s all anyone has. I admit the Olifant is good, but that’s about it.
Not correct.
MiG 25, Tornado ADV, MiG 31…
Tornado ADV and Mig-31 aren’t bomber interceptors, they’re general interceptors.
And Mig-25 would be 9.3. ;)
No offense - but try a reality check and consider effective combat ranges of non-bomber aircraft and you might acknowledge that you are still not correct.
The issue is mainly that sophisticated air defenses are able to track approaching enemies long before they are even close to contested airspace. If you want to attack on tree top level u get tracked by LD/SD interceptors whilst your combat range gets killed by the high fuel consumption at very low alt.
I mean the Tornado ADV is the product of the glorious idea to transform an Interdictor aircraft (optimized for low alt deep penetration) into a missile carrier to intercept bombers. The only possible targets able to get near the British Islands are bombers…even the clueless guys of wikipedia are aware of this.
We might argue about the MiG 31 as it is technically seen an enhanced version of the MiG 25 able to intercept also cruise missiles (thx to LD/SD) but the main targets are bombers…the USSR / Russia is simply way too large to be attacked by anything else than bombers if the designated targets are not close to their borders.
you haven’t specified which variant so I’m just going to assume its the only plausible variant for WT, the MiG-25PD(export) which has R-60M, BVP-50-60 flare/chaff dispensers (60 CMs total), SPO-15 RWR, RP-25 (modified mig23ml radar (has MTI), same IRST as mig23 (TP-23 renamed TP-25), R-40TD/RD.
all of that at 9.3, R-60M at 9.3? with flares? against flareless subsonics? really?
Spoiler
F-106
bro called out my fav US plane lol
but yea I agree historical battles arent balancewd
I don’t know , for me the bg turn for the game to the worse was when they brought GF and whatever came with it…
GF as a concept was not bad… what came with it was and still is.
Also , at first (beta testing) it was designed differently and i think for a little bit in the release as well.
And in fact was better than the current version … after the input from the community it became worse…
