Yes it is
weird i smell german shershing that would be a nice techtree tank
probably shoulld be added like this if they do add anything if they do add a panther 2 which would be a panther 2 with uparmoured gun and maybe a special HEAT-FS round if that also gets added
Yes it was. Story goes, it was welded to the hull just to make another cannon shoot and move.
But i cannot prove it or otherwise.
appears to be a PANZER 4H turret due to the add on skirts on side of turret so likely it would have same armor it be good it probably be like first ARL-44 4.7 5.0
first arl sits 3.7
I mean, the Germans did put together a complete Maus before the Soviets captured it.
The Soviet Maus is a Frankenstein’s Monster of the V1 hull and V2 turret. I’m not sure if they gutted all the internals after it got back to the USSR or if it was found that way after the German attempted sabotage.
The Panther II as intended fits the partial prototype suggestion category for the game. The hull was built, it ran.
Panther with the Panzer IV turret is documented to not have any ability to traverse. I can’t recall if the gun is operational or not.
I can’t comment on the SA vehicle, I know nothing about it.
we arent sure either…
its the same “partial” as captured panther 2. The TH800 Bismark we have ingame now - was one prototype. Then germans either made another hull without turret, or took the turret back, im not really sure. But then the SA museum just put the Olifant turret over, as the US did with Panther G turret. .
Germany already had a Maus with a turret assembled. The hull was sabotaged with explosives. The only thing that russia did was take the second Maus hull and mate it to the leftover turret from the sabotaged tank.
This was done by germany and was nonfunctional. The inside of the turret was stripped out.
MB yeah it does been a hot minute since i played it
was it? I have many different stories about that tank,
ah but that one special maus with combined turret and hull from different models is still a thing. Thats a historically accurate machine!
While browsing the bundesarchiv invenio, I came across RH 8/3953K which contains: “Pzkpfw. Tiger II, Ausf. B, Umrüstung, Vergleich der 8,8 cm K L/71 und der 10,5 cm K L/68, Munitionsunterbringung, Nov. 1944”
It would definitely shine light on the ammunition stowage layout for the Tiger II L/68. I’m going to make a digitisation request for this document, which would take them around 6~ months for them to complete, based on previous documents I’ve requested from them to be digitised.
After that, I will create a historical report for the ammunition layout since it is certainly incorrect in game.
That’s cool 🙂
