I see no possible way to Testdrive them, guess the Snail removed it.
A Panther II skin has been included in this update’s camouflage box!
The skin is tagged with ‘Camouflage Trophy: ‘Project X’ I’, but clicking that tag leads back to the current Firebirds trophy.
Could it be a mistake? Have any other skins been re-run before?
If I had a Panther II, this skin is what I would put on it. So pretty 💖
Agreed. All the Panther II skins are pretty nice, another reason it’s a shame that the vehicle’s gone.
Just an update, the tag has been changed to ‘Camouflage Trophy: ‘Firebirds’’.
Believe it or not, I got extremely lucky, I opened a single box and i got that Panther II skin lol
Germany currently lacks medium and heavy tanks in the 6.7, 7.0, and 7.3 battle rating range, making playing Germany at 6.7 a challenging experience. Matches in the 6.7–7.7 are just the battle between the USA and Germany. The US team can deploy tons of tanks at 6.7, 7.0, and even 7.3 battle tank(i mean medium & heavy tank), while Germany is limited to just a couple of Tiger II variants. This creates an imbalance in gameplay. To address this, Germany needs additional tanks in the 6.7–7.3 range to compete more effectively. by the way, kugel should go back to 6.7, and jagdtiger should use more powerful shell (pzgr.TS) as a TD in 6.7.
Not sure how many times Stona has said these vehicles won’t come back, instead they will fill gaps with East German or possibly Swiss vehicles.
Openly admitting to willing to break the ToS is wild, good luck
Ok, where are they?
Purgatory of course, if Russia goes more than 2 updates without a new AA or high tier premium the server room will explode.
Probably won’t exist, Smin did say nations would have gaps where others don’t.
Maybe redo the Panther II into the variant seen in your photographs and let the the 88 version remain an unmade unicorn, but I agree. Unfortunately, I cannot see it happening. There are also old event vehicles that could do with being recirculated to allow people to play them but they don’t currently add them back in as prizes for people who were not around to get them, like the IS-7 and Obj 279. I know you can get these but their prices are out of control and with no top limit are silly.
I have these vehicles but do understand why you would be frustrated about not being able to obtain them.
Hahaha, no
I wouldn’t even object to them being reintroduced as premiums if it meant they were added back. It could be done à la the Two Fronts pack - a medium, an AA and a heavy round off the bundle quite nicely.
Something I find interesting is that Gaijin was seemingly more accepting of blueprint designs in the past. The Entwicklung series (E-50, E-75, etc.) was suggested in December of 2014 and passed to the developers just one month later by @Smin1080p_WT.
Here’s a link to the old forum thread, if anyone’s interested: Entwicklung Series.
At the time, the criteria for ground vehicles was very different given what the top tier was during that period. Some considerations were given to paper designs that never materialised.
However with the expansion of ground forces, there was no longer a need to consider such options and the standards were later revised. From 2019 onwards with the removal of the 3 German tanks (Tiger 105, Panther II and Flak 341) from research.
Mm, it’s always interesting to look back on a game’s history and see where its scope has changed. It’s fun to think “Where would we be now had the scope not changed? What would the game look like today?”
Anyway, thanks for popping into the thread. While I have the CM here, do threads like this make it back to the devs? Or the people who decide what gets (re)introduced and what doesn’t?
Naturally we are always looking for feedback on events past, present and future. Many event vehicles over the years have come directly from player suggestions, as well as many of the improvements to events themselves, such as task composition, GE discounts for partially completed tasks and more.
Regarding the 3 German tanks specifically, what we can say is that we currently have no plans to return them. They were removed and replaced in the tree and returning them conflicts with the very reason they were removed in the first place. So right now at least, those vehciles spesifcally are not planned to come back.
The Maus however typically comes back for the anniversary every year for players to obtain.
Thanks for the clarification, it’s nice to know we’re being heard.
I’ll keep holding out hope that someday things change and those three do get added back. In the meantime, I’ll make a suggestion or two for the way it can be done. Thanks for your time!
