Wasn’t the E100 also just a hull? Or entirely Paper? Yet players are allowed to get it. I myself are 500/2000 bucks in on the Market.
Hull was about 90% complete with the remaining parts not fitted. The turret in game is a mause turret if I recall which also was mostly completed.
Yeah that was a hull. And in game its fitted with a turret that presumably fit the turret ring.
Panther 2 in germany had a turret test weight.
The Panther 2 in game is not remotely close to a realistic 1943 Panther 2 config if it had received a turret. Because it would be mostly akin to what the Americans put together.
But to my knowledge the E100 hull could never have supported the Maus turret. It is violating physics. The turret should have been from Krupp:

Its violating the suspension, as seen in game, but it does afaik fit, even if it does so horribly. (Yes the suspension in game iirc is essentially dying)
Panther 2 as seen in game violates what the Panther 2 was.

I happily accept both variants, 1943 Panther II and War Thunder Panther II together. Also the WT Panther II combines historically accurate Projects.

Ok, I want an M4 Sherman with the 120mm L44 from the Abrams and a T32 with the 16” L50 from an Iowa class battleship.
Unless you have historical proof of any such Projects being considered by the respective Military, no.

I’m not saying it wasn’t. In a lot of my responses to people who bring those vehicles up, I often respond by stating that they are not fake and there is a pretty decent amount of documentation confirming their existence however given none were built and or due to pictures being burnt it’s very hard to truly validate this.
That said, Ho-Ri I, Ho-Ri II, and Ho-R III designations didn’t exist. There was only the Ho-Ri the other 2 designs some tried to bring up were fabrications.
And this is why it will be gone when something else can replace it

Put together its not at all historically accurate just like the Warthunder amalgamation of unrelated Panther 1 projects, tech fitted to the Panther 1 far after the Panther 2 was cancelled and impossible configurations.
Id be happy with some Panther 2 that was finished with the most available turret in 1943. That would be akin to the E-100 situation.
Before that they should just give the Americans the Panther 2 they put together.
Warthunder amalgamation should be limited event only in an event specifically to remind people of why Warthunder doesn’t really do fantasy vehicles

This is very unlikely unless Gaijin can get access to the Japanese archive under watch. It just isn’t bound to happen not any time soon that is.

As I said above, this is why sub trees are being introduced. New nations with content to replace their numbers in the tree.

I agree, but once every year for everyone with the option of financial shortcut. Like for German Reunification or together with the Maus.
Thailand doesn’t have anything that could replace the Ho-Ri and SK nor NK will be added as Subtree’s. Due to the massive amount of controversy that would spurr out of this heck even Gaijin has stated that subtree’s for those 2 nations. Will not happen either.

Edit: nvm the Aim-9X on a Spitfire mk IXc is actually more realistic since would fit fine, but the gun in the Warthunder Panther 2 just doesnt fit in that turret

Maus and e100 aren’t in the game anymore because one is an even vehicle and the other was too much to balance, nothing to do with realism… Nothing like panther 2 situation.
Americans should not have a panther 2. If it were added it belongs in German tree. And there is nothing stopping nor have gaijin ever denied the museum panther 2 ever being added in the future but that’s a different argument to the old panther 2 permanently gone.
