Please Give Us Back the Original Panther II, Flakpanzer 341 "Coelian," and Tiger II 10.5cm KwK

I already posted the picture. That a Panther II Hull with a Panther G Turret.

Yeah it would make for a nice vehicle for the US

I’m aware. Now hand it over.

I second this, give the US the Panther they deserve.

As long as they are still in the game and players are still able to play with them, everybody should be able to have a chance to do so aswell. Even in a one time limited event like the Maus.

There are plenty of vehicles that were removed from trees or limited event rewards. The paper German vehicles were removed and should stay gone.

Indeed. Just once every year would be fine imo, like the Maus.

no, they are imaginary, impossible tanks and shouldnt be back in the game. them being gone makes them just like the hundred of event vehicles no one will ever have a chance to have again.

The argument of historical accuracy is laughable. We still have the R2Y2s, and people can still use the Panther II and you often encounter it if you play 6.7 or 7.0. If people can use it everybody should be able to. Hell even making them available for the accounts that were created before they were removed would be a very nice step forward. Also the Panther II isn’t impossible, it is very much possible it was just never done, this was debunked in the past too. You also forget that those are NOT event vehicles, at least, not yet.

F-16AJ and Yak-141 just existing

I would also like to add that the Coelian is acceptable enough for Ground Sim, I saw it in a list of allowed vehicles there atleast once. Not sure about the other two.

But if these vehicles are so Taboo and Fake, then why are they allowed for the most realistic ground Mode?

Clearly they should be acceptable enough to be given to players again then.

It’s not about historical accuracy, it’s impossibility. The guns don’t fit in the tanks turrets. Theyre like Dr who police box to fit them in.

The r2y2 has been listed for removal but it won’t happen until they have found something to fill the huge gap they will leave.

It’s simple as that.

This is a bit over exaggerating.

The KT 105 can have the clipping rangefinder replaced by the more accurate prototype I previously posted here, and the turret and turret ring slightly enlarged.

The Panther II had Design proposals for the breech although I am really no expert. It was something about angling the back of the breech I think.

And there are always the two simple rebuttals of the impossibility Hypothesis:

  1. This is a game, anything is theoretically and technically possible (See April fools for example)

  2. Fairness. It is more important than historical accuracy or possibility.

The 105 has been shrunk. When it was modelled at its full size the crew were inside the breech and the recoil in the turret would recoil out the back of the turret if you could somehow load and fire it.

Basicly same story for 88 in panther turret.

Game rules limit make believe to special events like April fools.

There is no issue with fairness. There are so many vehicles in the game you can never get ever again, these are some. They aren’t overpowered vehicles that effect game balance and they don’t fix huge gaping holes in the tree. There is no place for them in this game. That’s what wot is for.

That is your opinion. I am sure that every vehicle has its place in War Thunder, since it is a diverse and inclusive Game. Even things like the Sturmtiger with its irl 10-15 minute long reload or the Churchill AVRE Petard with its 50 m/s dustbin have found their place.

They were literally removed because they do t fit the game rules. It’s not opinion at all. It’s literal fact. Neither of those tanks are fake, defy the laws of physics.

They were never intended to be removed, Gaijin got bullied and coerced into committing this shameful act.

I question why people keep bringing up the R2Y2, Ho-Ri but fail to acknowledge it even if someone else just said that way earlier. That there slated to be replaced once a suitable candidate can be found aka will never happen because there are no suitable candidates.

The closest to a “Suitable Canadate” would be mounting the Ho-Ri’s gun into the Chi-Ri Chassis which was likely the next stage as that vehicle was the basis for the Ho-Ri seen in the wooden mockup.

This proves nothing other then them looking at changing it or removing it. They removed it.

It also wasn’t suppose to have the 88. German designs were attempted but the gun was too big and the idea was cancelled.

Firstly I already mentioned the Ho ri has some documented proof it was under construction and may have been completed but the details are sparse as much was lost at the end of the war.

Saying that they could be replaced some day by something else, that’s why we have things like sub trees now…

Well no. Afaik there are post Panther 2 sketches of how they could mount an 8.8 on a Panther chassis using new turret which is neither the narrow turret design of the Panther F or early narrow turret designs.

Panther 2 more or less started and ended with the hull and got cancelled in 1943.

Its why there was only ever a Panther 2 hull in Germany, and why there was a Panther 2 hull + Panther turret in the USA.
