It took me a long time to master my BVR tactics, which work best with the Rafale and the Eurofighter AESA.
Both of these jets are amazing at BVR, and the only reason the Rafale is so good at BVR right now is because the MICA-EM has a better seeker. With an improved seeker on the AIM-120 series, the Eurofighter would be completely superior to the Rafale at BVR, where right now they are about equal, since the EF has a worse seeker but better range, and the Rafale has a better seeker but worse range.
I think we should just give the AIM-120 series of missiles their real life equivalent seekers, and then everyone will be happy.
There’s no need to nerf a jet, when instead, we can uplift all the other jets to get to a similar level, based on their real life technical missile data.
The buffed seeker isnt really that large of an upgrade. All it does is double the rate at which chaff needs to be dropped in order to keep the seeker shutoff. Now, that may sound like a big upgrade, but generally that will only be like the difference between dropping chaff every second versus two seconds.
Sure, it can help, but with how much people spam drop chaff anyways it doesnt really matter.
the rafale nerf is realistic, it was overtuned cause of false french reports.
It never should have been this good.
The FM nerf is purely made on its real life performance
Raf needs the nerf after and still dominating air since it released and they should make modules more punishing in air also cause you can just guns someone down or shove a missile straight to their face, but the HMS + Micas crutch/any missiles in general is just stupid cause someone got punished by making mistakes and still able to throw a missile out while the plane is burnt and torn aparts
Rafale is coming down to its actual specs. You had a year and a half free ride.
Not enough?
That too.
MICA has one dimensional seeker, which GJ modelled only half way, hence idiotic performance.
Only, PROs, no CONs. It’s like making 120 fly M15 because you “forgot” to model atmosphere.
Hopefully, this will get corrected too.
You don’t use BOL chaff do you, because you are dropping a tonne and then the missile recommits most of the time. Where as Su-33 2/3 puffs and the missile is in IOG
