I play this game too.
I know how it is with uptiers.
And i really fail to see the issue.
If i play my 9.7 lineup, i have to endure those same conditions.
Unless i get preferential matchmaking im not aware of?
Moreso, correct me if im wrong but I always thought that only several players in a match can be one whole BR higher.
If you don’t see the problem of always being the shit of the game. Even if only 4 are +1 BR

you’re probably a masochist then, anyways you’re playing on the team with one of the more ridiculous tanks to face at 9.3. yeah the 2a4, sure you still have to fight t80s. but the 2a4 is probably one of the most bullshit tanks to face with m735 rounds. the 9.3 grind wont be all equal, but i can tell you that grinding it without premium time would make you pull your hair out. ep with japan
Leopard 2A4 stregnths lie in its firepower and mobility, not its armor. It can be UFPed by 3BM22 found on T-72A and the gunner sight + gun mantlet are massive weakspots. Its armor is mid for its BR.

I grinded entiriety of TT between Leopard A1 and Leopard 2A6 without a premium time or vehicle.
Look, im gonna admit, I have yet to start japan (and now that im older, I would prolly start only i could get my hands on type 74 G), but from paper, the lineup does not sound all that worse when compared to 9.3/9.7 russia or germany.
as a not very proud owner of the type 74g, its not really that good. it suffers compared to every other mbt in the turret area. mainly the fact that the rotation rate is really bad and the gun elevation speed is awful. Gen 1 thermals isnt too bad i guess, but with all type 74s they’re sluggish. Its only plus is the type 93 round. Maybe 4 or 3 years ago I would recommend getting it. But with the state its in now its just heartbreaking to touch. Type 16 FPS was a really good tank until ya know… the m735 nerfs.
Well lets hope gaijin fixes their mistake. Not sure if you know, but they nerfed M735 based on incorrect info.

Turret armour is ok, when hull down. and can bounce sometimes, but its just the ability for the turret to rotate, and elevate. iirc all of the 74s got hit with a nerf a year or two ago that made them this way. And i pray gaijin actually corrects the m735 rounds
The devs are just overestimating gen3 thermals I suppose, the PTL and WMA are very similar in that case, albeit they get significantly better firepower and worse overall protection, as well as worse FCS and commander controls. And now the type 16 and WMA are all in a BR where its firepower are mid, while the PTL is still decent.
I barely even use thermals these days, they feel more situational to me nowadays ever since they were nerfed… it can be nice at times but I’d trade thermals for a higher pen shell any day.
That is the thing. With weathers now getting diversed, gen3 thermals on the type 16(and P/FPS) is no longer significantly better. Mind you there is also the Swedish(Finnish)CTCV that has gen3 thermals+DM33+GLATGMs with a pesudo-unmanned turrets just 0.3 above the type 16 TT.
Nah, Type 16s were all undertiered in general until M735 got nerfed and even then they’re still cancer cars.
We said the same about the WMA301, now it has gone off radar and rarely seen. Well the reason is more complex namely because China 9.0 is just rather unfavorable to the previous 8.7 but that is another topic.
Good, it was frustrating to face.
I am also surprised why people haven’t called the VRCC overpowered too. It is a premium as well and what I consider to be the best 9.7 wheeled tank.
But getting back on the topic if anything the FPS should just get type 93 and move its way to 9.7, while the TT one(P) goes down to 9.0. With more and more high-res thermals at 9.0-10.0, it meant much less significance now.
How many Type 16s are there left to add in game?
WMA was never even that good, people just get it in their heads that something is ‘cancer’ and hyper focus on it, same thing with the R3 that never had a positive k/d but people perceived something with a 0.3 k/d as OP.
WMAs were an absolute hell on wheels back in 2020/2021 when they were at 8.7, absolutely annoying on open maps. Thermals+lrf allowed them to land a shot first in many cases.
Glad that now only exists at 8.0 with the VIDAR.
WMA were wobbly, no depression, no armor, no reverse, tall vehicles… at 8.7 they weren’t that special.
