I play this game on and off and with the most recent sound design change just being an awful implementation. Played a game yesterday on sweden and i was defending the b point. I heard a guy on my right so i focused on that but only to have some guy come in at full throttle and kill me and i couldnt even hear him on the other side of the cap because my crew skill was too low…idk who play tested this change and thought this was a fun mechanic. Tanks are loud vehicles and this game isnt super realistic since planes can hear helis from their third person view and all this change seems to have done is given fast tanks the ability to silently punish teams who arent aware that theyre being flanked because there is no system now to warn you when theyre out of “render” dinstance for you. May just end up only playing when theres event vehicles to be easily grinded out and just avoid whatever the devs think that the people want
Same issue, made a topic about the sounds in game, it was for the plane in particular, to implement realistic sounds like the real ones, it would be so much better, the gameplay and in this case for the ground battles
I dont need the real life sounds i just need to be able to hear a dam tank that isnt already sniffing my ass. Like i get they want to be able to give tanks the ability to flank and what not , then they need to make better maps that have those designs in mind. like even with the crew skill maxed out i can only hear a tank that is 200ish m away, crazy close distance especially for top tier vehicles
