Please add the new "Nuclear Thunder" mode as a permanent addition for all nations

If you think this mode is stressful for the server, wait until you see what Infantry will do when it goes live.

Yes!!! But make the SPAA on the convoys not be able to fire on the move. Make their response time way longer. Make them actually have to reload. And nerf the Gepard and close in SPAA not be as accurate. No helis!!

how would helis add into this mode? It shouldnt be just ctrl c&v right?

Title, this event is awesome and its a breath of fresh air.

-Matches are longer (And all people play it still)
-Infinite spawns at cost of SL
-Very fair pool of default vehicles to use if you don’t have one
-AI do matter
-Multiple airfields
-Progression with objetives, when you destroy airfields you actually do something to the enemy team and you affect how the match develops.
-Actual use and purpose for bombers and ground pounders, unlike the normal ARB where if you play a bomber or a ground attacker you are basically useless.
-AI is more intelligent and intercept your ordinance
-Its not stressfull at all and its fun, compared to the shitty actual ARB where you just look for match, fly straigh for 3 mins, die, go to hangar, repeat.

Of course there are some things to fix like unbalance and all that, but overall this event brings more GOODS and FUN than bad things (on mi opinion) which is awesome

and this event its also very popular, everyone is playing it, the servers are always laggin by the amount of players on it, and they stay the whole match because ITS FUN, its what the game needs!

This is a step on the right direction, don’t make it go for ever after april fools ends

Btw Im not saying that this EVENT in particular with everyone having nukes that easy and everyone having jets should stay of course, you guys know what i mean, no need to explain (i hope)

Infantry models cannot use nuclear weapons at will, so naturally they will not cause server overload.

Helicopters would work well, as they are naturally designed to defeat ground forces, unlike most aircraft. They can assist in the suppression of ground forces for the aircraft to do the major damage.

You did not play the Infantry mode if you think it wasn’t affecting the server. It just didn’t spread to other modes because of the limited players given access.

It’s 128-player lobbies. It will be much more demanding on average than other modes.

It’s plenty big, but the objectives need to be spread out a bit more, rather than being mostly clustered together.

I think its better than AIR RB, especially 12.0 - 14.7. Everyone has his mission and enough information, not only avoid F0X3.

The fact is that since this game mode officially launched, whether it is matchmaking in other modes or in-game purchases and other operations, the latency has become very high, and the frequency of packet loss in matches has also greatly increased.

Because of the surge in players. Gaijin can always expand servers, as they said with the Infantry Test.

The nukes have very little to do with it. Nukes are dropped constantly in Ground Battles.

It would be possible to adapt this to even WW2 with some adjustments.

After playing this mode, I don’t even want to go back to Air RB. It would be like a shock, a cold shower, going from something good to that abominable thing. The only thing that could be improved in this new mode is increasing the map size for aircraft with Fox 3s by another 100km. Know this, Gaijin, that after this event ends, I won’t even have a reason to play War Thunder again. I don’t want to go back to the old routine of a map the size of a football field with 16 players firing Fox 3s like crazy, and I certainly don’t want to play GRB; that’s an abomination right now.

I mean if helis are too fragile for this mod… since roland and osa-akm are much more powerful than they were in normal games, I have a question mark for the survival of helis(or players).

There would be a few things to change, certainly, but I do believe this mode could easily fit helicopters given the chance.

This may be the most interesting event for gaijin in recent years. It would be great to be able to stay, and other April Fool’s Day events should also be kept.

Just like Ground RB, China and USSR use Tu-95, other nation use B-52. For nuke fighters, Germany has F4F, Mig23 and Tornado,UK has Phantom, Jaguar, F-111 and Tornado, Japan has F-4EJ, A-7E , China has JH-7 series, Italy has Tornado and Mig-23, France has Mirage F1C and Jaguar, Israel has Kurnass. Only Sweden doesn’t have a proper plane to carry a small nuke bomb, I think they can use American F-4E and A-7E instead. Plane isn’t a big problem.

I really support turning this April Fool’s Day event into a new format, this is really so much fun.

I think this is the most important point out of all the ones you brought up tbh. The only meta to this gamemode if your sole focus is winning atm is just to fighterjock til you get a strat bomber, and then press the “I win” button, and unless someone notices and intercepts you, there’s nothing the enemy team can do about it. For a gamemode that does so much good with objective gameplay, they dropped the ball HARD with that design decision.

2 matches today we were crushing the enemy team at doing actual objectives, we’d knocked out all their airfields but the last one, and were working on taking out the Patriot sites when they just spawned a strat bomber and won the game, when they were behind 30k tickets.

You are fundamentally never punished for just going for plane kills only. Deaths do no reduce your SP, and the match is super long, so as long as you manage to get ~20 kills, you get to press the “I win” button, even if you have 60+ deaths. Making the Patriots and S-300 GBAD reliably intercept the Strategic bombers is a good way to force ground objectives to be “completed” before the game can be prematurely ended.
