the turtleback alone makes scharn the best ship for the BR. the only way to kill it right now is to set a fire to a turret and pray it spreads to and detonates the magazine before being put out. it would do just fine at 7.7. only reason it could stay at 7.3 is if they made bigger maps where the turtleback becomes useless due to shells being able to plunge into the deck properly.
@Smin1080p_WT Hi, I noticed the italian ship Eugenio di Savoia is going down to 5.3, But her premium sister in the russian tree, Kerch will remain in 5.7 despite not having differences in firepower and protection, is this correct?
Reasoning: I don’t know the reasoning behind the Mariya’s rate of fire buff, but keeping her at where she was is insanity. She is already good at the compressed BR where she doesn’t get to fight cruisers often and with ~40 second reload. So buffing her rof to be around the same as Von Der Taan will inevitably make her far too strong. So I suggest she should be moved up to avoid having her farming cruisers.
Scharn has cruiser sized guns, just 28cm calibre. Imho her BR should be even more lowered. Also the new killswitch aka turret hits is severe, makes her armor almost meaningless.
I don’t see any reason at all to allow any of those planes you have shown into naval battles at this time. It’s insane
Adding guided weapons to naval will absolutely ruin the entire mode.
Having a plane from the 1980’s - 1990’s with guided long range weapons going against ships built in the 1930’s, or even before that . . . that’s not even a game
Nothing about any of that even makes any sense
So. Now had a chance to properly have a look and it looking pretty good.
Especially HMS York getting the love she desperately needs and needed for months. Would make me excited to see a HMS Exeter Premium at some point now.
HMS Invincible, HMS Glorious and the other Dreadnoughts at 5.7 though should move back up to 6.0. Would help a lot with re-balancing things out. (Light cruisers like Southampton and Belfast should NOT be a higher BR than a dreadnought)
Also anyword on HMS Vanguard moving to be below HMS Hood instead HMS Warspite?
Posts from above about the Des Moines being too high in BR
I fully agree with all comments specifically about the Des Moines being too high. It was already too high before the proposed decompression. It has been very hard to near impossible to use it when it cannot do any real damage to BB’s/Battlecruisers, and gets one shot almost every match by those same BB’s/Battlecruisers.
Since the USS Des Moines and USS Newport News are the same class and very similar both should follow the same BR suggestion I have below.
Vehicle:USS Des Moines[And the USS Newport News. I understand that the mods want us to keep suggestions separate, but in this case I firmly believe that since both ships are so similar, they should both be included in my suggestion here.]
Gamemode: Naval Arcade and Naval Realistic
Change: Stay at 6.3 BR
Reason: Both ships already struggle at their current BR’s against BB’s and Batlecruisers in their BR range.
Edit #1 and responses
EDIT #1: If anyone strongly disagrees with LOWERING their BR’s, please let me know and I might edit my suggestion to STAY at 6.3 BR only. I would like to get as many people in agreement so we can gather likes on the most reasonable suggestion for the Des Moines class ships, ty.
EDIT #2: Already have multiple replies disagreeing with LOWERING BR to 6.0 Edited my suggestion to only state “Stay at 6.3 BR” See spoiler information above for responses ☝️
Vehicle: HMS Invincible Gamemode: Naval Arcade and Naval Realistic Change: 5.7 - 6.0 Reason: Dreadnoughts should not be a lower BR than Light or Heavy Cruisers and whilst they may in-turn struggle against those at 7.0, they no longer would face unreasonably strong ships in a full uptier.
Vehicle: HMS Glorious Gamemode: Naval Arcade and Naval Realistic Change: 5.7 - 6.0 Reason: Dreadnoughts should not be a lower BR than Light or Heavy Cruisers and whilst they may in-turn struggle against those at 7.0, they no longer would face unreasonably strong ships in a full uptier.
Vehicle: IJN Ikoma Gamemode: Naval Arcade and Naval Realistic Change: 5.7 - 6.0 Reason: Dreadnoughts should not be a lower BR than Light or Heavy Cruisers and whilst they may in-turn struggle against those at 7.0, they no longer would face unreasonably strong ships in a full uptier.
