With the addition of new battleships with the Battle Rating of 8.7, we plan to decompress and change the Battle Ratings of already existing naval vessels and of some aircraft in Naval Battles.
We’d like to note that the Battle Rating changes to the aircraft listed are only to the Battle Ratings in Naval modes and will not affect Air or Ground Battles.
You can find the list of all the planned changes in the linked spreadsheet below.
We’re going to be carefully reading your feedback on the planned Naval Battle Rating changes, so please feel free to share your thoughts and any suggestions that you may have for them.
If you see any comments that you agree with, make sure to upvote them so that we can get an idea. Thanks everyone!
Please Note:These changes spesifically relate to Bluewater. At the current moment in time, please focus feedback on this matter as we are not currently planning changes for costal at this time and wish to collect feedback spesifically on the Bluewater changes.
Where is the decompression for the coastal fleet as well?
Boats like Aconit, HMCS Brantford, Arras, Amiens, Marne, and others with detailed damage models are currently dominating their BR range. Anyway, I’ll make and post my BR feedback in the several next posts.
I’m a bit curious whether or not the introduction of rank VII will also lead to economy changes in the lower ranks. either way, these BR changes are interesting to say the least!
Reasoning: With the naval aiming system changes in arcade battles making it function more like an ‘aimbot,’ this vessel should receive a BR increase. Like HMCS Brantford, it demonstrates strong survivability and can shred other patrol boats with ease. Currently overperforming, it becomes nearly unstoppable when fielded by a coordinated four-player squad.
It doesn’t make sense to move Belfast and Southhampton to 6.0 unless you are going to move Myoko, Haguro, and both Admiral Hippers to 6.0 also as the British ships lack a true AP shell and have worse armour than the Hippers and smaller guns than the Myoko and Haguro.

We shouldn’t be pretending Amagi is the same level as Hood and Rodney, she has a drastically higher RoF than them both but particularly Rodney, and her armour is about the same level as Hood’s. Module layout is a factor but given she resists around the same as Hood does but has 2 more guns and a drastically higher DPM she should be 1 br step above Hood. She has much better shells than Rodney also and 1 more gun, again much higher DPM they are not equals. Post-nerf Scharnhorst is also more manageable as this BR, and her smaller guns should be accounted for, again we should not pretend she is an equal.
Reasoning: With the naval aiming system changes in arcade battles making it function more like an ‘aimbot,’ this vessel should receive a BR increase. Despite mounting two large-caliber cannons with slow traverse - a drawback negated by the new aiming system - it demonstrates exceptional survivability and can dismantle other patrol boats effortlessly. Currently overperforming, it becomes virtually unstoppable when deployed by a coordinated four-player squadron.
Can you fix the 203mm guns of Italian heavy cruisers now that you are moving them up in br? The shells of these guns are much more affected by drag than any other shell in game, they lose an excessive amount of energy at range, a bug report was passed years ago but they still aren’t fixed.
I will say after my main criticisms I believe are over, I like to see this trend of decompression, its very positive to see such a change for the entire naval br floor it seems of the main offenders.
