Suuuure nobody wants to have AA and better armour for few sec slower reload. Only when you get bombed by plane which there gonna be cold war era planes at those brs.
Nah man stuff like Colorado or Rodney are very much deserving of 7.7 even more than Mutsu or Amagi.
But id add Scharnhorst, Kronshtadt and Dunkerque class to 7.7 club too.
those that might have been a worry have moved up and it just means you need to be a little smarter about where you go and not to over-extend if you have more limited self-defence.
But in a fight between Rodney and Amagi. The Amagi definetly holds a lot of the cards

Uhhhhh so, I for one ALWAYS like having better AA 😂 All of my lineups for US and RU give strong preference to botes with better AA. NOW, I hardly have any Japan botes, so I really cannot add to this debate. BUT I just wanted to say that I personally LOVE better AA on botes.
Basically all stronk AA US botes (THOUGH I suppose it can be argued that these all still have high ROF’s lul)
RU Botes with gud AA, the Marat and Kerch do not have gud AA, but the Blag and Smelyi have awesome AA (tho again, high ROF 🤣 )
EDIT: I would just encourage everyone here to try and work together as much as possible to help allow for the best matches for Naval. We have been wanting decompression for a LONG time. So, I hope we can be as reasonable as possible, and debate ideas, and not attack each other. Cheers bote bros 🍻

1 more round per minute and in the case of Amagi a whole additional turret is not “a few sec”, come on now.
AA is useful when there’s a plane making an attack, and you can mitigate your bad AA by sticking close to allies who have better AA than you do. Main gun DPM is useful literally all the time.
You cannot seriously think that the Dunkerque-class, which is worse in every single way to Mutsu and Amagi (which according to you aren’t 7.7 material) should be at the same BR. That’s just pure insanity.
Let alone the fact that on a ship like Rodney. All 3 turrets are clustered together and could be mostly surpressed by an Amagi with half decent aim. Almost impossible for the Rodney to do the same to the Amagi
Plenty of people did, because it should. It’s one of the best performing battleship in the game and it outperforms any of the BBs in the new 7.3 BR bracket. At 7.7 it just wouldn’t be as brain dead to play as it is now.
True, especially with the DPM difference.
That being said Rodney is a very strong performer currently, so I suppose we’ll have to see how it performs in its new bracket.

Yeah. Im largely happy with Rodney being 7.7. Would be nice if it was in a later refit with more AAA. but I can make do with what she has currently and if she begins to struggle. There are buffs for her still. Like her reload is 5 seconds too slow currently.
But Amagi should definetly be the same BR imo

BR Change: 9.3 —> 8.7 (Aka, dont move its BR)
Reason: The Buc S1 isnt that big of a deal for the top most naval BR. Its slower than aircraft like the Scimitar which isnt moving and has no form of self-defence (no guns and no AAMs) so its not even strong in that regard. Unlike the Buc S2, it doesnt have an impressive bomb load at only 8x 1000lb bombs and whilst its handling is okay, it is much slower and accelerates worse than the Buc S2 as well. It isnt amazing either. We already have acesss to the Canberra Mk2 which carries a bigger bomb load, has a bombing sight and isnt hugely slower. Having the Buc S1 would give value to an old event aircraft which has been rather lacking in recent years and a nice change to the Canberra as a main stay CAS aircraft for the new BR range. Also with the lack of a 8.3/8.7 battleship. Having at least one half decent CAS aircraft would be rather nice.
Dunno, imho all jets will totally destroy immersion in Naval. We’ll see.

Imho not blue water at higher tiers. Coastal tree is quite mixed with cold war boats/corvettes/frigates vs. WW2 boats and cutters.

Exactly the same thing happens to Strasbourg (and Dunkerque but it’ll be at a lower BR) and it’s far easier to do because current map design are very cramped and thus vastly favor its armor scheme. It can’t do much against the big 7 either.
Considering that Strasbourg doesn’t performs nearly as well as Scharnhorst does, they shouldn’t be the same BR.
Also, even with the current 7.0 ceiling it is still one of the best performer, even while facing Mutsu, Amagi, Rodney, Colorado and such.
It would be absolutely fine going to 7.7 while making things fairer for 7.3 BBs.
G.91 pre serie should stay where it is.

I have been Playing Naval for a while and notices some opportunities to make Naval abit more FUN or at least stress free from constant battles
Movement in Game
- Implement Course plotting to stop running into island’s when focusing on battle to battle - Hearing the Collison Alarm docent help when your Aiming on a target and wanting to remain accurate on fire
- auto Course correction when getting close to an Island or obstacle have your Captain auto avoid rocks and islands as well as any obstacle that cause beaching ( although player input wouldn’t avoid this )
Damage calculator
- Implement under the xray of the target how much you damaged that ship it helps knowing why you keep hitting the ship but do no damage or get an assisted in a kill rather than a kill - since allot of times i question how did i only get an assist when i hit that ship 100 times !
- Improve how the assist mechanics, as of right now it frustrates how little you get even if you think you did allot of damage to the enemy goes back to point 1
100% this. It’s easily one of the worst offenders in terms of balance in the entire game.
