yet again Gaijin making several talisman purchases worthless by putting ship at a lower rank … great
and this looks like very, very selective list of changes …
why is Prinz Eugen (+ Hipper) staying at 5.7? probably THE best 5.7 ship that has combination of rate of fire + penetration/damage + survivability combination far above most of the other 5.7 ships
Myoko … almost the same case as Eugen (worse survivability)
but Belfast / Southampton going to 6.0 … really? it can do well in downtier stomping destroyers (but pretty much any half-decent light cruiser can), but in uptier or even if facing something with armor is might as well be firing blanks
Imperatritsa Mariya … how the hell is it getting rate of fire increase from 1.8 to 3.0? with no BR increase? Is this just preparing excuse to buff all the russian 6.7 battleship reloads? We already have Kirov (+ variants) with at least double the reload rate it should have, so now battleships are getting this nonsense buff too?
US heavy cruisers … oh come on, Pittsburgh / Baltimore going two steps up while much better Eugen / Myoko stay at 5.7?
naval battles are a dumpster fire where Gaijin has to basically bribe players by ridiculously high SL rewards compared to any other game mode otherwise no one would play. Even that wasn’t enough, so lowering number of players + filling battles with bots has pretty much legalized staged battles (especially when players are in squad + select less populated servers during off hours) where a few players per side can ignore each other and just shoot AI and now we’re getting BR changes based on absolutely butchered statistics and exploiting of naval problems. Naval really couldn’t get more Gaijined even if Gaijin tried …
No only Imperatritsa Mariya with experimental turret structure achieve that speed in real life. Sevastopol class has originally 1.8, and 2.2 after surviving ships modernized.
While we’re on the topic of improving naval, could we please get a fix to kill credits? Because it’s really annoying to do the entire work of bringing a ship down to being nearly sunk all by yourself only for the secondaries of an AI ship to get the kill.
The kill should go to the person who did the most damage to the ship, not the one who got the last hit.
To be honest nah. IJN Kako is pretty much IJN Furutake (which yes it deserves 5.3 not 5.7) only Kako has different gun arangement, kinda akward torpedo sending and a worse AA I think 5.0 Kako and 5.3 furutaka is fair.
You’re completely forgetting to mention that both Mutsu and Amagi have a significantly higher RoF and that Amagi has an additional turret. No one would take better AA over much higher DPM.
I dont know if I entirely agree with that. I can happily go toe to toe with any Light or heavy cruiser in Belfast. But I do think it going to 6.0 in a Vacuum is rather stupid.
Suuuure nobody wants to have AA and better armour for few sec slower reload. Only when you get bombed by plane which there gonna be cold war era planes at those brs.
Nah man stuff like Colorado or Rodney are very much deserving of 7.7 even more than Mutsu or Amagi.
But id add Scharnhorst, Kronshtadt and Dunkerque class to 7.7 club too.
those that might have been a worry have moved up and it just means you need to be a little smarter about where you go and not to over-extend if you have more limited self-defence.
But in a fight between Rodney and Amagi. The Amagi definetly holds a lot of the cards
Uhhhhh so, I for one ALWAYS like having better AA 😂 All of my lineups for US and RU give strong preference to botes with better AA. NOW, I hardly have any Japan botes, so I really cannot add to this debate. BUT I just wanted to say that I personally LOVE better AA on botes.
Basically all stronk AA US botes (THOUGH I suppose it can be argued that these all still have high ROF’s lul)
EDIT: I would just encourage everyone here to try and work together as much as possible to help allow for the best matches for Naval. We have been wanting decompression for a LONG time. So, I hope we can be as reasonable as possible, and debate ideas, and not attack each other. Cheers bote bros 🍻
1 more round per minute and in the case of Amagi a whole additional turret is not “a few sec”, come on now.
AA is useful when there’s a plane making an attack, and you can mitigate your bad AA by sticking close to allies who have better AA than you do. Main gun DPM is useful literally all the time.
You cannot seriously think that the Dunkerque-class, which is worse in every single way to Mutsu and Amagi (which according to you aren’t 7.7 material) should be at the same BR. That’s just pure insanity.
Let alone the fact that on a ship like Rodney. All 3 turrets are clustered together and could be mostly surpressed by an Amagi with half decent aim. Almost impossible for the Rodney to do the same to the Amagi
