Planned Battle Rating changes for January 2024

What?

are you talking about the m247? or wdym by m48 spaa

I can out-roll five AIM-7 at the same time. Do you need me to prove it?

true, I can too even with the Ja37D

ah okay, I’ve just never heard it be called the m48 before

If possible yes. My experience with AIM-7M is almost always a guaranteed kill if the enemy isn’t on the deck

I agree with you on the T95, it should not go up in BR, where it lies right now it is quite fairly balanced. I cannot comment on the T20 as I don’t know it that well.

Actual name would be MIM-72 / M48A2 Chaparral

The problem I encounter is that I rarely seem to get a downtier. So I’m stuck fighting BMPs, LEO1, T55s basically the same vehicles it fought before they implemented the split between WW2 and post-WW2.

bruh the AIM-7’s and SuperTEMPS are bugged and long distance they pull good and then they miss the target and in close like 7km to 6km the missile does nothing

I thoroughly disagree with the battle rating change for the Falcon. The Falcon has no search or tracking radar and yet it’s getting moved up to a BR where the gepard and chieftain marksman among many others currently reside. In ground to air capability it is outclassed, however in anti-tank capability (arguable it’s problematic strength) it is somewhat on parr being slightly outclassed in penetration compared to the chieftain marksman’s pure APDS belt (although this has a limited capacity). It should be noted however that moving it up in BR based purely on its anti tank ability without taking into consideration its effectiveness in its intended anti air role is frankly unfair to the tank, and unjustifiable. You might as well slap an IFV labell on it if you’re going to treat it as such. 8.0 is already a high stretch for this tank and it puts it in a BR range where it’ll see even more lightly armoured vehicles which it’s more effective against causing it to go even further up in BR. It will enter a catch-22 BR increases. Please leave it at 8.0, thank you.

I think I could put the top tier planes at 13.0 all 4 gen forward so it doesn’t hurt players at 11.0 or higher ?

Yeah, AIM-7 is almost harmless at any distance if the player has experience.

A friend of mine counted around 30-31 prototype vehicles in the U.S tree, not sure how accurate that is but that’s insane if true.

Never had these problems with 7F/M honestly. I managed to score kills with my Barak from 74km away.

TEMP is indeed kinda buggy tho

Basically if it is US and has a T or X designation, it’s a prototype. There’s a lot.

Skyflash has always and will always be buggy. Though it did have the nickname of SkySlug IRL. So… Not that surprising to be honest. But Ive been flying the Phantoms recently and Skyflash DFs are also really broken at the moment.

So not surprised about the TEMP

Wow, the air changes seem pretty good (besides the F-5E and mirage 2000C, F-15 also needs to move to 12.7) but, man whoever it is who approves of these changes, let alone makes them, needs to be put into another position or another department.

The ground changes are absolutely horrendously bad (as usual, been quite a long streak!).

Who in their right mind decided the stuarts should go up in BR with a 37mm.

Who in the world approved of the T20, a tank with a US 76mm with no smoke, APDS, or even APCR (as if thats good anyway) should go up to 6.3!?!? The M41 going up to 6.3 was already bad enough and it HAS APDS. This is just a maneuverable sherman and you’re expecting it to compete with Tiger IIs, Panthers, and all the way up to M48s with a US 76MM!?? It was already over-br’d at 6.0 and you’re moving it higher??? Are you all on a journey to make 100% of the US ground tree over-br’d or are you that bad at game balance??

Who thinks its ok to put the AGS at 11.0?? Its no more difficult to kill than the average Russian tank and those exist at lower BRs. The M833 is a definite help but its unnecessary; its fine at 10.7 with M774, stop making USA less and less competitive, you inch every half decent vehicle we have closer and closer to irrelevancy.

Why not make actually good changes like giving the M1 Abrams M833 instead of giving it to the AGS and moving it up in BR?? Its only reasonable to let a 10.3 tank have 10.3 appropriate ammunition.

Why not give the XM-1, now one of the worst top tier premiums in the game for a multitude of reasons, M774 at the very least? Let alone its missing smoke launchers. Its 9.3, let it have ammunition that is appropriate for 9.3, that being M774 at the absolute minimum.

Why not move the MBT-70 and XM-803 down to 8.7 where they belong now with their horrendously bad ammunition? There are a multitude of 8.7 tanks that are better in nearly every way. Even the Kpz-70 could be considered for 8.7, though it can be justified for 9.0.

Why not move the T29 down to 6.7 where it belongs, its a US Tiger II (SLA) equivalent, yet sits at a higher BR?!

Why not move the A2D-1 down to 6.7 where it belongs, where it used to be?? Its a plane with 6.7 performance at 7.0 for no good reason other than its statistics were heightened due to spam. All it has to compensate for it is a massive bomb that shouldnt be allowed in Ground RB anyway?

Who makes these horrendous decisions and who approves them??? Its bad enough that you still use “statistics” to balance the game which you prove through actions alone time and time again DOESNT WORK, nor do you understand how to make it work.

Almost 90% of the US ground tree is over-BR’d and you all make it worse with every single BR update, and other nations who are in similar poor conditions also get knee-capped in the process as well. One of few good tanks in the French tree, the Somua is also going up. Its not good in full uptiers and its very good in full downtiers, while being strong AT BR and now you’re making it even less likely to see its own BR by moving it up. Its already bad enough that it and tanks like it can face fully stabilized APDS/HEAT slingers like the TURM III which are better in nearly every way, at a PARTIAL uptier.

Please revoke the ground changes and put even a little thought into it. STOP using “statistics” to balance the game, it doesnt work nor does anyone at Gaijin seem to know how to use it properly to make decisions. You all have released consistently bad BR changes for almost 3 years now. Quit and take the time to change the way you do them so they can be better and actually listen to the community and experienced players.

A great example is the significant lack of the TURMS-T, 2S38, and BMP-2M not being raised in BR most likely because your “statistics” claim they do bad, yet in reality they belong at 10.3 (TURMS), and 11.0+ (2S38 & BMP-2M) respectively if you ask anyone who actually plays and understands the game. You also don’t move the Strela up to 10.7-11.0 where it belongs but you move the Type 81??

I’ll tell you how it’ll be… Obsolete… 11.0 means you are going to be facing 12.0 basically in every match… Played 30 matches with it the other night and got 28/30 11.7 matches… So you will basically face Mig-29s and F-16s with only 2 bad missiles and 27 pops of countermeasures and a top speed of mach 1 when these can go 1.5… Good luck catching them and good luck running away from them… if it was only against 11.0 planes it would be fine… I say the Matchmaking is the problem, not the BR… It doesn’t matter what BR you are playing, you are getting uptiered most of the time… It’s not right for a 10.3 to be in a 9.3 match and it’s not alright for a 10.3 to be in 11.3, when will Gaijin understand this? Playing against inferior planes is not fun and playing against superior planes is also not fun… What we want is to play matches with planes that are 100% competitive in their own way… Again an F-5E in 12.0 is dead in the water…
