More importantly, the 2S28 can look up. Effectively making it a better SPAA than the lvkv90 if you ignore the radar.
In terms of survivability tho, Cv-9040C definitely better
Edit:
I see now that my addition was listed.
I will note tho the Lvkv-9040C does have a laser range finder bug that makes that function unusable against helicopters or other long range horizon targets.
The T-80UD, Obj 292 and 2S38 all need to go up to 10.3 at a minimum. 2S38 would be fine at 10.7. All 3 of these are vastly more powerful than anything else at their current BR; the T-80U hulls have superior armor, the UD has a fast reload and K5 on top of excellent composite, and the 292 has the composite and overwhelming firepower. The 2S38 is categorically superior to every other IFV in the game and its BR should reflect that.
Would be nice:
The M60A1 AOS, RISE(P) and TTS remain the weakest tanks in the game at their respective BRs. This can be helped by considering the M60A1 AOS to be a RISE+ and giving it M735, putting it in line with the T-55A, its primary opponent. The M60A1 RISE(P) should receive M774, giving parity with M111 found on Magach 6 series, and the M60A3 TTS should receive M833, giving parity with the T-62M. None of these shells are overpowered for their BR, and the US M60 series is categorically worse than almost everything they face. They all used these shells in service, they can get them in-game.
The FJ-4B should be reclassified to “Naval fighter” and moved in the tree if necessary. As a strike aircraft, it is completely irrelevant with the existence of the A-4B and A-4E. Reclassifying it as a fighter not only reflects its historical role as a fighter-bomber, but allows it to serve as an upgrade to the F9F-8 in the missile-carrying fighter capacity, which the US otherwise does not get until 9.3.
Fox and M551(76) moving up are good changes, and decompressing subsonic air is probably for the best. Please consider these changes to further help highly compressed areas of gameplay and balance out historically underperforming tanks.
The 2S38 is a 9040C with more pen, better AA round, IR-tracking, higher acceleration and vastly faster turret traverse. (and some other small things i won’t get into here).
i’m curious about your answer to my calculations done here.
Limited to 35° up, wich is stupid, and a bug reported since long time , still there.
(link to the report : Community Bug Reporting System )
And while German and US Roland enjoy a Tracking radar (wich is… A French one…) the French Roland don’t have it.
Good to see it going down since it’s a downgrad, but it would have be better if Gaijin actually doing work and putting it on par with others, removing the buged limited aim, and giving it it’s OWN tracking radar.
Perhaps they put it down in BR for prepare the place to a soon to come Roland 2 with all theses upgrades/bug corrected. But searching a full new high tier vehicle just for a tracking radar and more °… Meh.
The AOS is much better than the T-55A IMO and probably the best 8.3. M735 is roughly equivalent to DM23, meaning the AOS would need 9.0 to match the A1A1. 3BM25 literally has 1mm extra penetration over 3BM8, and is lower penetration than M728.
Yes I get the stab is good but the gun traverse is terrible. It has no gun depression and the vertical targeting is super slow so even though the stab exists you’ll find that the sight and the gun disconnect from each other a lot because the vertical can’t keep up
1- Which is why it should be 10.3. Also it’s 50mm more pen, not 100.
2- Doesn’t impact its BR as it’s 10.0 and not 9.0. Air tracking is a 9.3 thing at most.
3- Which is why it should be 10.3. Barely faster. HSTVL is double the acceleration speed of 2S38/Begleit BTW.
4- Which is why it should be 10.3. After 30 degrees per second, the faster a turret goes is diminishing returns since you react fast enough due to headphones.
5- Which doesn’t matter against ground targets where it’s BR is placed.
6- Which doesn’t matter due to the only map where that matters is Mozdok.
7- Subjective experience.
8- Not a thing.
9- Doesn’t impact survivability for the vehicle it is.
People need to stop mentioning its 9.3 SPAA capability, it’s not 9.0, it’s 10.0. 10.0 is above its 9.3 SPAA abilities.
Also Pbv 501 could use higher br along side other BMP-1s. cold war ifv at 6.7 is a bit low. Even tho it has no atgm its still actually pretty mobile and responsive and does decent damage compared to like C13 which is 7.0. Also would help all the heavy tanks around that br while still being very good light tank.
I do agree with the current changes, if anything i would ask for HOT-3 on the Mephisto. There is a report open about it, and we have currently an ATGM carrier at 9.0 that uses Tandem Warheads, the AFT-09.
AFT-09 would have slightly faster missile and a faster platform (23.2 hp/t):
Spoiler
Where Mephisto would have slightly more penetration and explosive power at the cost of worse speed for the missile a slower platform (15.9 hp/t):
Spoiler
As a result Mephisto can go to 9.0, where the AFT-09 sits currently. I think it would be a good change and and would give the possibility to use the Mephisto at higher BR’s, where currently there is a lack of variety, like at 11.7 where currently we have only MBTs, it would help and give a breath of fresh air while we wait for more vehicle for that BR range.
skill issue, that’s the exact same thing when facing F…ing guided munition in tanks. It’s very good yes, but that’s just spaa standard, and it can’t do anything else.
Do not move the 9.0s to 9.7 RB
If you do move the Hunter F.1 down with them
The Vampire FB.4 has no place at 8.0 and being the same BR as the export Vampires
The Vampire FB.4 has less engine power Spaded than the export ones have stock while being at the same BR, move it to 7.7 or 7.3
the MiG-15 and F-86A-5 do not need to move down i cannot wait to have to fight a MiG-15Bis (Ish) in my Spitfire F.24 (probabally Ok but should prob move down to 6.7)
and if they are moving down move hte Swift F.1 down with them, and maybe even the Swift F.7 to 8.3 with the later sabres and MiG-15bis
move most if not all the 9.3 supersonics to 9.7 as they were, they stomp in downtiers and perform well in uptiers
the Fox needed to move up but a 0.7 increase is sharp, move it to 7.3 will release the issue mostly, and if it needs to move up again do so (liek you did with the Su-25 (9.3 → 9.7 → 10.0) Buccaneer S.2B should arguably go down, sure it has AIM-9Ls but the A-10A Early has the same number, a gun, more Countermeasures (the 30 stock flares on hte buccaneer may as well not be there) and the Bucc needs to sacrafice weaponry for the missiles, then the Su-25 is also lower with comparable speed and manoeverability, with having missiles that are equivalent and a very potent gun, the Buccaneer S.2B shoudl also go down in sim but thats another issue
rework Sim BRs I do not know how hte F-4F is 0.3 higher than the FG phantoms which have a better radar, engine, radar missiles, and IR missiles
Move F-15 to 12.7, it may not be the best out of the 12.7s but it isnt 12.3 worthy and shoudlnt really be fighting 11.3s with its performance and 9Ms
