I’d like more of your suggestions, but I literally ran out for today. Low tiers deserve more attention, and the Pz.38(t) n.A. should also be pushed to rank II, where it actually was when it was released.
I might make a separate thread where I compile low rank suggestions into one post.
The issue with doing individual posts per vehicle is that it makes each vehicle appear like an isolated balance decision. I’d rather give the full context of what changes I’d make to other vehicles in the same BR range to illustrate a lack of favoritism, but it’s not really feasible here, and I don’t want to flood the thread with small reload speed tweak posts that no one gives a crap about.
“Bad stats”. Happens with nearly all low tier vehicles. New players bring the winrate and KD down, good players “submarine” in these vehicles.
Vehicle: M1 Abrams (105)
Gamemode: Ground RB
BR Change: 10.7 → 10.3 or 9.7
Reason: why does the direct competitor (T72A) to the M1 Abrams sit 1.4 BR lower than it. the m1 abrams has decent mobility and a shitty thermal. the tank doesnt even get M900 there is ZERO reason it should sit that much higher when from 9.3 to 10.7 the russian tech tree gets MULTIPLE T series MBTs before american mains even sniff the m1 abrams. Also the m1 abrams armor is not good at all the cheeks can get penned pretty reliably as well with any good penning apfsds shell.
Aircraft: Mystere IVA (All)
Mode: ARB
Change: 8.7 → 8.3
Reason: The Mystere IVA was already one of the worst 8.7 fighters before the 15Bis and F-86F (The two best 8.7 fighters), went down in BR. The Mystere IVA is nowhere near on par with the current lineup of 8.7s that have been lowered over time; Notably the Lim-5, MiG-17, and CL-13A. It’s arguably worse than a lot of 8.0s and 7.7s.
Gajin has an issue with balancing any HE reliant vehicle because of how explosive damage is modeled. It’s very inconsistent and unintuitive, which when paired with low shell velocity, makes these types of vehicle hard to use for all the new players that are able to obtain them very early into the grind.
While the M4A3 (105) specifically needs several changes so that its not bullying 2.0’s and 2.3’s, the broader issue could be addressed by allowing HE to cause residual damage through plates thicker than the HE penetration value. It would make the rounds much easier to use and would help justify moving all the HE slingers up.
Ground BR
Antilope
10.0 → 9.3
this thing is just horrible, 1km front aspect lock range, proxy fuze so big you can´ t kill scout drones, no search radar, etc
This thing has no business to be above the type93
honestly kind of agree with gaijin on this one, adding a VT proxy fuse to an AA that low would be broken, I use the M247 and that thing fucking slaps even in uptiers
Well, it would be balanced at a higher BR with already a longer reload time. It would not be assisted with some kind of radar.
alright did it
bro...

looks at 9.3
beats su7 in straight line low altitude speed: F-104A/C, F-106A, J-7II, MiG-21F, MiG-21PFM, Lightning F6/F53, J35A
beats su7 in 1vs1 situation: Ariete, F-100A, G91YS, F-106A, MiG-19S/PT, J-6A, Q-5, J32B, J35A
surely everything
edit: not sure entirely if F-100D or Hunters can put up a fight will need to test more
Because the Pre-series Tiger II is a terrible vehicle?
It can be killed by 5.3 tanks from a kilometer away, also has a terrible gunsight with little magnification.
All this on top of their speed getting nerfed a while ago.
Playing it at 6.7 is mental when you have 2 variants of the same tank that are literally just flat out better.
being capable of brushing off hits from anything up to 90mm M3.
But why is the T26E5 going up but not the tiger2 h?
Because Gaijin loves BR compression
Nah bro I dont wanna hear it russia literally gets the T-55AMD-1 at 9.0 WITH APS. like are we fucking serious man.
The Sd.Kfz.222 is an open top with only three crew members so its way less survivable, and the “better” ammo is HVAP which isn’t better, its angled penetration is cut in half compared to the AP that the Pbil gets and it does less damage. The Chinese Sd.Kfz.222 has a worse AP round than the Pbil with half the angled penetration and a worse gun than the German counterpart, it has half the fire rate. While yes the AB-41 has a little more penetration but it has less fire rate and its slower than the Pbil and also only has three crew and it has less armor than the Pbil, it literally only holds 8 rounds with a 6 second reload on aced crew. Angled pen matters more than raw flat pen. The Pbil is better than all the vehicles you used to argue it’s weaker than, it is simply more survivable and has better ammunition, it also has 6 crew and two drivers and can drive backwards at full speed. You did not take into account the crew counts, reload speeds, how much better the ammunition of the Pbil is, the fire rates, how fast the vehicles are, or how much ammunition these vehicles get on a full reload. Do more research next time.
In a turning gunfight I assume you mean?
Because something like the Ariete you should just be running away from and not trying to dogfight.
Its a bit like people complaining the BF109 is bad because it cant win a turn fight with a Zero or Spitfire.
If you play something wrong, of course it will do poorly.
I also dont beleive you when you say the J35A will outrun an Su-7. The others… maybe, depending on fuel loads, but a J35A really?
But you have yet to give a valid reason why the Su-7B should move down.
Looking at that same list, for something like the Jaguar GR1 currently at 9.7 I could easily argue the same. Doesnt mean the Jaguar GR1 should be 9.0.
and looking at the list of aircraft at 9.0, None could actually deal with a Su-7. They are all notably slower than it. Su-7 would be unkillable in a 8.0-9.0 match, can get 2x easy base kills and then just BnZ everything else. That is literally the definition of OP
I doubt it.
Su-7 is much faster, there isnt a lot a Hunter could actually do about a Su-7 just running away from it.
I hope that you aren’t serious
Boom and Zoom?
Never heard of it
