Vehicle: Kurnass 2000 Gamemode: Air Realistic BR Change: 12.3 —> 12.0 Reason: The Kurnass 2000 lacks any form of SARH missiles and instead only has Python-3s, whilst they are fairly good, they are non-IRCCM and so easily defeated. At the same BR of 12.3, is the Netz and Netz Mod with significantly better FMs, but the same A2A weapons fit, it’s impossible to justify the current BR of 12.3 for this aircraft.
Vehicle: Q-5 early Gamemode: Ground Realistic BR Change: 9.0 —> 8.7 Reason: Given the upcoming downgrade of the Q-5A’s BR, it makes sense to also lower this aircraft’s BR by one step. It doesn’t have AA-missiles or a ballistic computer, so I believe its current BR is too high.
Reasoning: With the base AH-64As at 11.3 now, the YAH-64 is now both redundant and inferior when placed in America’s 11.3 lineup. The fact that it lacks A2A missles and countermeasures further strengthens the argument for a lower BR. I believe placing it alongside the MH-60L DAP at 11.0 would help keep the Helicopter relevant.
Vehicle: F-104J/F-104G (edit: Chinese) Gamemode: Air Realistic BR Change: 10.3/10.7 —> 10.0 Reason: These aircraft don’t have flares on their BRs, where even with good maneuverability, it’s practically impossible to avoid a missile hit. The ballistic computer on the F-104G is practically useless for this aircraft at its BR, but it can be removed if needed. I understand that they have quite good missiles, but there are plenty of aircraft with better missiles at these BRs that still have flares. Speed on their BRs is no longer a significant advantage, while the lack of maneuverability is still a huge drawback. An alternative to lowering their ballistic missile launcher might be to provide these aircraft with some flares, perhaps not many.
