The Type 99 and at a lower BR the Type 75 are not clones.
Furthermore unique? It’s totally fake, so shouldn’t be in the game. If you want real unique WWII Japanese stuff you should play the Chi-nu or the Na-To.

It means german players at 5.7-6.7 are mostly oblivious and all the noobs play there because they heard germany had the best tanks in WW2.
Vehicle: Ta-152 C-3
Gamemode: Air RB
Br: 6.3 ----> 6.0
Reason:
it gets outperformed by everything at 6.3
You can either have decompression or you can have a good population spread, but you can’t have both at the same time. Gaijin themselves have hinted at their unwillingness to take proper steps towards decompression because they don’t want to risk increasing queue times.
By moving BRs in both directions you just shift the compression around.
Changing what ammunitions are available to a vehicle is an option as well, they just almost never do this.
While the amount of such vehicles is limited, those with hand-cranked turrets can have their traversal speeds adjusted.
They could also use the ammo crates as a balancing factor.
Dynamic SP cost definitely would help in certain cases, especially when it comes to SPAA and certain other autocannon vehicles.
More aggressive BR changes would require more frequent BR updates and, if done in both directions, would absolutely destroy game balance.
You are just as oblivious because you are refusing to read. You are speaking of the T20 as a tank that “almost nobody plays” while it’s been in over 100k matches for the past month alone.
If the reason for its stats is that German players are so dumb, why isn’t the Super Hellcat in that top 20? Strangely enough, the only other two American tanks in that top 20 for KPS are the T18E2 and the T14! And if you look at K/D, you once again get the T18 but with the M26E1 displacing the T14.
What does that tell you? Where’s the T29? The Cobra King? Literally any other American premium in this BR range that fights the exact same dumb Germans. Why aren’t they getting a flat 3 K/D and 2.5 KPS?
It’s almost like the vehicle itself is busted.
If you share a KPS list with the E-100, the KV1-B, the Ka-Chi, the KV-220 and the IS-7, sorry to break you, my dude, but the source of the good stats isn’t the players, it’s the goddamn tank. Stop insulting everyone’s intelligence.
The AN/APG‑59/60/61 are essentially copy‑pasted radars in our game with no real differences between them. However, due to the HMD integration with these missiles and the specific mechanics of the ASB mode, they simply don’t perform as effectively as they do in ARB. To make matters worse, because of its BR, this aircraft constantly faces much tougher opponents, such as the MiG‑29, which makes flying it significantly more difficult.
It’s the opposite at 2nd top tier. At top top tier the AMRAAM loses its edge due to Russia getting the R-77-1, which beats any AMRAAM to target at any relevant range (<= 80km). This compounds with many vehicles like the Eurofighter, Rafale and Su-30SM2 being defensive monsters, the first two due to having an amazing RWR and insane flight models with MAWS and the Su-30SM2 due to having an insane radar and having 12 fox-3s for MCM activities. All 3 planes have very good thrust to weight ratios. In such a meta close range fox-3s provide the biggest advantage due to tendancy for opponents to sit in notches and easily avoid long range shots, with little game impact due to fast energy generation. The MICA is an interesting case of this occuring at lower brs, simply due to the better seeker, which makes it much harder to notch in long range engagements even though its kinematics are subpar in terms of range when compared to the likes of the AMRAAM or PL-12 commonly found terrorizing the lower brs. (Other defensively oriented planes often met are F/A-18C late and Super Hornets, due to their low speed but good twr, Mirage 2000-5F/EI due to benefiting from baiting opponents in and having a MAWS, but they are also very good offensively due to the MICA + HMD combination)
TLDR;
You are absolutely right for 14.7-14.0, but not for <14.0, where the vehicles are often underpowered and lose a lot more from having to notch early (the Su-30MK2 and the Su-30MKK are actually really good examples of this) and don’t have the AESA/PESA radars necessary for reliable MCM activities nor the missile counts to justify that.
You can have both if your player population increases with time, which has been the case for WT for the last 14 years.
Which is totally a thing worth doing anyway while you wait for the (extant, if slow) steps of actual total decompression. Which do exist. The top BR for ground has gone from 11.7 to 12.7 since I started playing, and the top BR for air has gone up even more. But also at the same time some areas of the game are more compressed than others and so localised interventions also make perfect sense.
Yes, as a rule they do not like taking stuff away from people. Unsurprising if you think about MMOs as reliant on the illusion of ownership. I agree they should change that more often.
That is also true. After all, they already do that with scouting. Some TDs get it and some don’t, and even some SPAAs get it.
The Mirage 2000C S4/S5 missiles are good and should remain at their BR of 12.3. For the Mirage F1C and F1C-200, yes, either reduce their BR to 11.7 or readjust the Mastra 530F missiles, which are the worst at BR 12.0 (I think the missiles just need adjusting and there’s no need to lower it).
it’s really funny how all of your balance suggestions compare balanced vehicles to unbalanced vehicles like making compression even worse is your taste of balancing and they are coincidentally all russian. ah yes, the su-25bm that has 2 r-73s at 11.0 in air, kh-29ts at 10.7 in ground is a good example of a balanced vehicle. Or the su-30mk2 and mig-29ms with kh-29tds with irccm missiles/ fox 3s at 12.3 while the fa-18c at 12.3 has 2 9ls, aim-7ps, 2 guided bombs and mavericks. You and everyone who agrees with your shit suggestions are so funny lmao
I was explicitly comparing the AMRAAM to the R-77
not the -1
The best vehicles of the <14.0 bracket aren’t AIM-120 carriers.
There is a good reason for this
the close range meta is much more drastic there as the platforms aren’t quick enough nor have radars good enough to support further range launches.
At top tier airframes are significantly better and faster, this gives the missile a higher effective range and the platforms can somewhat compensate for the bad pull
Radars are also better, which make longer range launches more viable when paired with the superior airframes
they will need to add strong ai bots to fill in the matchmaking times for lower brs I feel like. they can’t keep this level of compression going much further if they plan to keep adding more modern weaponry and systems
I disagree with you and I think Su25BM should go to 10.3.
It’s capability is very limited to only having 2 fire and forget missiles.
It also lacks a targeting pod of any kind, neither normal nor thermal.
It doesn’t have a workable RWR, only 3 bands ( G-H-I ) which makes it
susceptible to all spaa’s in that BR range including Tor and Roland.
The lack of thermal sight makes it free food for that -insert curse word of your choosing- op Ozelot.
It can fire 2 Kh29’s and after that good luck not dying while trying to strafe with rockets.
The only thing it has that’s superior from the rest of the things it faces is a couple of R73.
That’s it.
I obviously can’t see the non-Steam player count, but on Steam the player count has pretty much plateau’d in 2024 and has been on a very slight downward trend since then.
Those steps usually come with increased compression for lower BRs because, as I’ve said, the BR increases always come with simultaneous BR reductions.
Yeah, the lower BRs tend to be more compressed and just keep getting more compressed.
The difference of 2–3 extra reactive armor plates is like the difference of having extra tracks on the turret of a premium Tiger 2.
That is also a bad comparison, given that the T-80UD lacks a thermal imager entirely; a BR increase for the vehicle is justified by the difference between having no thermal imager and having a Gen 2 thermal imager.
he asked for it to be 11.0, you disagree with him because it’s capability is very limited but you think it should be 11.3?
“Guys we add copy paste vehicles to fill BR gaps” Also LEO2A4NL at 10.7 is a BR gap, LEO2A5NL at 12.3 is a BR gap, and now as for the cherry on top the LEO1A5BE will be at 9.0 creating yet another BR gap. Nice one gaijin
Mode: Air Realistic Battles
Vehicle: F-104J
BR Change: 10.3 > 10.7
Reasoning: This aircraft provides superior firepower to the F-104G for China, despite having near identical flight performance. The RWR quality should be a tradeoff for the larger quantity of weapons, rather than simply making it a lower BR.
