Planned Battle Rating Changes (August 2026)

That’s next! It will be a premium too!

even worse given it was added and then removed because Gaijin realised it would make the CR2s maybe actually good

I think it’s good you got the Aussie Abrams I just think it’s mostly an excuse not to fix the Chally.

I wonder why A-1H is staying at 6.3 and not up to 6.7 with all its Zunis though. It feels pretty busted without enemy air.

Mode: Ground Realistic Battles
Vehicle: Sherman Firefly (+ Premium variants) & Avenger (+ Premium variants)
BR Change: 4.7 → 5.0
Reasoning: With the Churchill VIIs moving up due to the new ammo, the 4.7 lineup has been ruined, as they formed a core role - a heavy tank. I would honestly prefer that they remained at 4.7 without the APHE shell, but if this is to be the case, then the Sherman Fireflies and Avengers should get the APDS shell and move up to 5.0 (like how the Italian Sherman VC exists in game), so they can once again work together in a lineup.

Vehicle: Su-30MK2 AMV
Tree: Russia
Gamemode: Air Realistic Battles
BR Change: 13.313.0
Reason:
If we look at the numbers on the shark, which is like the only source avaliable to us normal players, it becomes evident that the Chinese counterpart the Su-30MKK is straight up just better in terms of theory and statistics.

In terms of theory, the MKK boasts multiple advantages over the MK2. Starting with direct upgrades, it has access to the Chinese challenger to the meta-defining AMRAAM, the PL-12, which gives Chinese teams of 16 Su-30MKK a considerable early game advantage over the potential 16 Su-30MK2 team of Russia/Sov due to the much greater range of the PL-12 when compared to the RVV-AE (henceforth R-77). To complement this, it also has access to the amazing PL-8B medium range (for type) IR missile which is superior to the R-73 found on the MK2 in terms of range, as it even beats the Aim-9M in that department, sharing the best-in-slot destinction with the AAM-3, with the difference being the seeker. Taking these missiles in the loadout does not lock you out of taking any AAMs found on the MK2. In terms of possible teammates from their respective trees, the only relevant aircraft comes out to be the Chinese Mirage 2000-5EI, which carries the MICA missile, currently rated as the best fox-3 in the game at close ranges and also over all. This means while Russian players must often take energy intensive hard notches against the MICAs improved ARH seeker, the Chinese MKK players get to take advantage of this, and play more aggressively in uptiers, due to being less likely to face MICA Mirages.

In reality this has translated into considerable differences in the planes’ performances. The Su-30MK2 AMV boasts 0.8 kills per spawn (kps), a kill-to-death ratio (kd) of 0.95 and an appauling win rate of just of 47.7% over the month of June (latest avaliable data). The Su-30MKK on the other hand achieves matchmaker breaking 0.98 kps, 1.20 kd! and a win rate of 52.9%, which necessarily must be above average. In total the Chinese plane has a 12.5% advantage in offensive output (kps), a mind boggling 26% advantage in survivability (probably due to the afformentioned early game pressure) and a near 11% (multiplicative) advantage in win rate and an even more significant 5.2% additive win rate advantage.

From my own experience at the tier playing the Su-30MK2 AMV, the early game against teams of PL-12 equiped Su-30MKKs is very annoying and not balanced at all. The PL-12 is comparable to the best-in-slot AMRAAM in terms of range and time to target, while the R-77 is essentially useless outside of 10km due to poor drag characteristics. While the R-27ER is kinematically superior to all fox-3s aside from the Fakour-90, it being a SARH makes it too difficult to utilize against mutliple PL-12 slingers, and mustn’t we forget, the MKK also gets those. My statistics in the plane (Su-30MK2 AMV) are as follows: 187 in 56 through 99 with 67 victories and 32 losses, a win rate of 67.7%.

I believe given the numbers a battle rating decrease to 13.0 is justified. At 13.0 it would face SARH slingers equiped with the kinematically superior R-27ER, which offers an interesting dynamic, while still seeing long range fox-3 powerhouses like the german F-4F KWS LV, which does have access to AMRAAMs and Aim-9L/Is, but is limited to 4 radar missiles, which offers some counter play in a duel against one at long range. The F-4F KWS LV has similar statistics to the Su-30MKK, which using some math in comparing the differences, we can see that the Su-30MK2 AMV would be projected to perform similarly to the F-4F KWS LV, while still being worse than the BR defining M-346FA and AV-8B Plus.

if its historical then yes but to just remove, nerf or single out a well performing tank is what is wrong with this whole system. just like we dont like the bmpt so we will do all we can to stop it being popular and effective.

Don’t post anything, ever again.

Jesus Christ this thing should NOT be increased in BR for Air RB. Please edit that out. You’ll turn it into the next Buccaneer.

It’s true that BR 9.7 might be fine.

If we’re going to add LMMs to the Stormer, it would be best to have a new ‘Stormer (Late)’ implemented.
Whilst I’m extremely dissatisfied with the Starstreak’s current performance, there’s no denying that it has unique capabilities. I’d like to keep open the possibility that the Starstreak could still prove useful.

Might be officially the most insane take on this entire thread.

To move what should be a 13.7 aircraft that is currently at 13.3 down to 13.0 because soviet premium players are bad.

R-77, R-77-1 and MICA-EM are meta defining btw.

AMRAAM is just trash.

But just justify for me the Su-30 premiums being hte same BR as the Sea Harrier FA2, just… try and justify that for 30 seconds please. I would love to hear that crazy take

R-24R are just better than AIM-7F’s, after 10km both are easy to evade anyway. The faster acceleration and IOG more than make up for the lesser range. Altrough you only get 2 decent missiles, you get also 4 all aspect IR missiles unlike the phantoms.

The MiG-23 is also a far better FM than the phantom.

They should share the same BR, its clearly far better than the other 11.7s

Perhaps. Though Id still use Starstreaks vs Helis over the LMM, and if they fix them, they would also be my choice vs aircraft at “longer” ranges

though I wouldnt say no to having 2x Stormer HVMs in my line-up. I do enjoy them as a vehicle, just not necessarily as an SPAA in its current state.

I like how you’re using their own rules against them though, if it’s a troll.

A6M (all versions)- No more up tiers.
If players cannot figure out to not turn fight them in a P-47 that’s on them. If you insist on up tiering aircraft until certain nation mains learn to play to their strengths instead of the enemies you will have the Zeros and Spitfires at top tier (at least the Spits going up in ground makes some sense as they had extra bombs added)

M728 CEV and Centurion AVRE to 6.3-6.7

Unless HESH is to be improved like how it used to be ages ago, I have no idea why these 2 are staying at 7.0 with their rather mid armour, very long reload, very low velocity, and inconsistent HESH.

USA RB Ground BR’s:

- T18E2: 3.3 up to 3.7. Just the increase to 3.3 was not enough. This thing is equivalent to the Ram II or Cromwell I. On StatShark this thing was sitting at a winrate of 61.3% last month.
