Comparing a Mirage F1 CT to a Mirage F1 EQ is like comparing an F-16A to an F-16C. Visually, they are the same aircraft, but the interior is completely different. The EQ was designed from the start as an aircraft capable of firing air-to-surface missiles (AS37, Exocet, AS30, …) and therefore possesses the necessary wiring to do so. The CT, in comparison, lacks this wiring entirely.
The only version of the Mirage F1 operated by France that could potentially fire this missile would be the CR, and even that remains to be confirmed. I have a secondary source that mentions it, but no primary source confirms it.
So it was the AGM-78 Chassis and it was modified for two separate projects: One was an Anti-satellite project and the other was the AGM-78 modified to be the XAIM-97.
if you are talking about the ASM-135 it wasnt built off the STARM
it used a booster from the SRAM, which is a much larger missile and its upper stage used the rocket motor from a scout rocket upper stage
