RWR should have a plane icon that makes it easier to read the direction a threat is coming from.
The cross we currently have works well when the camera is looking in the same direction as the plane but once you start free-looking (especially while actively evading) it gets hard to read the RWR warnings as they’re visually aligned with the camera and not the plane.
Example
At a quick glance one might perceive that radar illumination is coming from about bomb target’s area (3rd quadrant relative to the plane) when, in fact, it comes from outside the camera’s view altogether (1st quadrant of the plane)
Ultimately, the problem is caused by RWR widget showing events in plane’s space while being presented in camera’s space. Once these spaces misalign you have to mentally convert one to another. Physical RWRs obviously don’t have this problem as the pilot is always aligned with the plane.
Having a marker depicting a plane on the RWR might make it easier to understand where the threat is relative to the actual plane and not to the interface/camera. The topic that removed it earlier ( New RWR Interface) had some good points why the old version was inadequate so maybe the new version might be a small chevron as opposed to a full outline:

Maybe make it a setting in case if people would like to keep it a simple cross.
