When in the world did the PL5B get buffed? Its completely ignoring flare dumps and everything lol and why did it get buffed?

Idk if it has been buffed, but it’ll go for flares unless it at a really close range.
It does have more flare resistance than something like a 9J or R-60, but it’s not at an insane level.
Flare before it gets close to you.

I don’t remember if the missile got buffed. But if you are at close range and don’t maneuver after firing the flare you will mostly get hit.

PL-5B hasn’t been changed in over 6 months and even that change had nothing to do with its FoV or anything.
If it’s close enough to ignore flare dumps you were dead in the first place. Look around more and don’t let J-7D/Es or J-8Bs get behind you.

I can assure you they do not. Its FoV is 2.4 compared to 2.5 for most other missiles of its class. That means it is ever so slightly better, not noticeable compared to other missiles.
You are flaring too late or from bad angles.
