Zero deaths in my 11.3+ CAS vs Pantsirs.
I’ve never once paid attention to RWR in ground battles, and no Pantsir doesn’t have the range to frag me or any other CAS player when playing their CAS as CAS and not as a drone.
Meanwhile hundreds of missiles have been launched on me from Pantsirs.
there’s a reason why personal experience is never taken as statistical proof.
whether or not i choose to believe you doesn’t matter when i have seen countless people die to pantsirs.
its a threat bubble that no other SPAA can make.
that, my hard headed friend, is the issue.
efficiency comes later than capability.
It’s not personal experience, it’s just facts.
Pantsir range against jets: 13km.
This has been proven with extensive testing.
MINIMUM stand-off range of top CAS: 16km [GBU].
Physically not possible to die to Pantsir unless you fly in like a drone.
Also… gotta take your own advice.
@Tubby_Vermin
Yet Soviets aren’t the most powerful tech tree in the game and never were…
They’re also not Russian.
Dude, the USSR / CCCP Russian Soviet Nation has a lot more advantages then any other Nation in game, so yes they are the best nation Period.
Plus its not all about the Tech tree, they have most if not all Mechanics in game fully operational, most nations a gimped or not finished Mechanics CCIP/CCRP not working, modes not functioning correctly / Bugged.
So because the Soviets don’t have fully functional systems, and NATO has more advantages such as OP vehicles, that makes the Soviets the best tech tree?
How much are you being paid to defend the Soviets? [This is a rather rude leading question meant to be a general critique of their post.]
Amount of vehicles doesn’t prove anything.
Soviets got CAS as-good as NATO CAS 2 years after NATO; I’ve been memeing on Soviet tanks with Tornado and Mirage 2000D for well over a year before Soviets got a Su-25SM3 to do the same to my team mates.
First of all, I’m not defending any nation; I play all nations (see image above). It seems you missed my point, as I clearly stated that the Russian nation represented in the Game have functioning systems, often before other nations.
Typically, the weapon systems and capabilities of vehicles and planes are exaggerated on eastern platforms compared to their western counterparts, which are often underrepresented.
I’m not a Russian main or defending them; in fact, I’m doing the opposite. That’s why I mentioned that you might have misunderstood my point.
You mean laser range finders, thermals, two plane stabilizers, neutral steering, targeting pods, digital RWRs, etc…
Oh wait, all of those came because of NATO/to NATO first.
You know what Gaijin started developing after Britain was added? Two plane stabilization.
So no, your post is so obviously wrong.
DU rounds and DU armor? America.
Yes, Soviets got some things first, as did every tech tree in War Thunder.
Soviets did not get anywhere close to a majority let alone a tenth first.
They either tied or got it after.
so you mean theres no way a jet can die to a pantsir at 18km?
you change the goalposts as well as the numbers at your own desire
you said 18km at one place, then 16, and now 13.
at this point youre just picking fights
really, i just advise you stay out of this
you should stop playing america so much that you forget your other tech trees
the minimum standoff range is between than 10km (effective) and 13km (capability) for the KH-29T.
yet pantsir kills against fast moving targets prove you wrong time and time again.
im not the one stating them as fact. just as a sign that there exists an imbalance.
You bring up a great point about advanced systems like laser range finders, thermals, two-plane stabilizers, neutral steering, targeting pods, and digital RWRs. These were indeed developed by or for NATO countries first. Gaijin started working on features like two-plane stabilization after adding Britain, and many advanced munitions and armor types, like DU rounds and DU armor, are linked to American technology.
However, in War Thunder, Russian vehicles often get these features early or at the same time as their NATO counterparts. This can make it seem like there’s a bias when Russian vehicles appear to have similar or even better technology.
Russian tanks, jets, and helicopters are known for their strong armor, powerful weapons, and good mobility. This makes them very effective in various combat scenarios, leading to higher win rates and a sense of imbalance.
So, what I’m trying to say is, despite your all-seeing, all-dancing, omniscient deity status, even you might have missed a spot here!
There is Favor in the Game and its obvious, you just can’t see it
@Armen_Lozone
First off, I posted no insults, thus no ad hom as I didn’t dismiss anyone’s posts either. Ad-hom is when someone DISMISSES a post with an insult; I did neither. A leading question isn’t an insult, just a rude question from impatience elsewhere in my life.
On top of that, I changed nothing. I’ll keep speaking since I have experience.
I’ve always said 13/14km for Pantsir’s range against jets, that never changed.
16km was always for GBUs, never changed.
And 18km for helicopters, which never changed.
And your post implies all 10 tech trees in WT is America… what?
Also you seem to forget that Mig-27K has GBUs.
If Pantsir can frag fast targets, why have they never done so?
All videos of them in War Thunder have them fragging drones and direct flying targets.
First video that showed up in my search:
They haven’t though.
Win rates are a sign of team skill, not power of a vehicle.
Thunderskill says you’re wrong to use win rates; Stats 101 says everyone is wrong to use win rates of a team game as strength of the components.
You can keep claiming the Tooth Fairy’s real, but it won’t change the reality that War Thunder has no nation bias.
Wow, you really brought out the big guns here! I mean, if Pantsir had your level of precision, it would be fragging jets, helicopters, and maybe even the Tooth Fairy herself (your telling me she’s not real)
But seriously, I think we can all agree that War Thunder is like a box of chocolates – you never know what you’re gonna get. Sometimes it’s a sweet victory, and other times it’s a bitter defeat
And hey, if win rates are a sign of team skill, then maybe we should all just form a super team and dominate the skies together.
How do you think USA teams dominated from 2019 through 2021?
People didn’t start getting mad at Soviet teams until over a year after BVM was introduced; BVM didn’t change, team skill did.
You really shouldn’t post an ad-hom right after defining it.
If you think that, then certainly you’ll be able to win a 1v1 in a custom match? Grab your Pantsir and I’ll grab my Mirage 2000DR1.
Excuse to get out of this challenge: “There are no aircraft to make you play differently.”
Counterpoint: I don’t care if aircraft frag me in random battles, that’s their job.
Your post claimed that a ten tech tree player only plays America, which to someone that plays all ten tech trees makes it sound like your post is implying their ten tech trees are all America…
And just cause the video doesn’t prove your points doesn’t mean anything.
yk youre making me have a really negative view of you with what your doing here
that “redacted insult”?
that word is “lie”
and last i checked no corner of the earth views that as an insult
i dont have either of those vehicles
and the mirage is highly manouverable with great CAS ability
guess you didnt see this coming lmao
wrong
^^^^^^^^^^^^
this is what i said
in no way does this mean you only play america
it means you MOSTLY play america
which you havent denied
it does not
now i know you have some issues and im trying to be reasonable here
but you should be aware that you have a tendency to misunderstand.
and your misunderstandings tend to be very extreme
so much that you have an impression for trolling and taking the mick out of people
it doesnt prove ANY point lol
in this video you can see hunter frag a jet at around 16km (granted he is flying straight but what else do you do when you have ABSOLUTELY no way of telling that a pantsir is online and firing at you?)
@Armen_Lozone
Your posts seem extremely hostile to a dude that is tired and has a perspective that you clearly haven’t experienced yourself.
Dismissing my experience while I accept yours.
You’ll note I NEVER once dismissed any your your perspectives, never.
The only thing I argued against was Pantsir’s capabilities because I learned to fly at a fraction of how a real-life CAS pilot is trained to fly; that’s what I felt was necessary for Crotale anti-air systems, and it turns out it works against Pantsir as well.
I don’t believe in “mostly” cause I don’t care, I only care if everyone’s having fun, and I only care which my favorite vehicles are.
I haven’t been given warnings SPAA is firing at me since ADATS/Roland/Tunguska/Crotale systems/etc. Optical locking has been a feature in the game far longer than Pantsir, and players have been using it exclusively.
Tunguska is one of those with optical locking.
Fly as if there’s always a missile on you… literally what I’ve been doing since ADATS was added to the game.
