The PBM-5A was just added to the game, and so far since getting it, you have a 1 out of 6 chances of actually hitting your target, let alone reaching it. your consistently harassed B7A2’s and Do-335’s, Wyverns and MIG-3s. it has good firepower, but should it be downtiered? I think so, what are your thoughts?

I agree, bombers like this are born to suffer unless Gaijin improves the situation.

Yup. Flew it twice for the free test drive and realized how terrible it is, now I’ve reached that level in the Battlepass and I’m still not touching it. I’ll just play my AV-8A and bomb bases with it, instead.
This battlepass is shaping up to be the worst, ever. I’ll just have to see how the Sholef plays, but I can’t really imagine it’s going to be very good either.

Instead of downtiering, I’d advocate for tweeking the meta so that fighters are actually rewarded for providing escort to bombers, similar to the way tanks are rewarded for protecting repairing teammates in Ground RB.

That would be an interesting change. But I think it still needs a downtier. It’s just not competitive where it’s at. I don’t think I’ve ever seen one make it more than 90-120 seconds past spawn.
First merge they all die and they’re not fast enough to climb, dive, or run away
