As you can see in the videos I posted the AGM65G can be fired ~13KM. Well outside the range of ALL SPAAs except the Pantsir, and the Pantsir’s mobility past 10KM is greatly reduced.
Having the same experience with the Phantoms and Tornado F.3, can’t engage enemy CAS if I can’t approach the battlefield
This doesn’t change the fundamental imbalance presented by current CAS weaponry outranging SPAA systems found ingame. That’s assuming no further CAS weaponry is added, and with Gaijin adding 20KM ranged laser guided muntions I’m sure they’re looking to add more.
AGM-65s sometime have a range of 13km. I find it can vary from map to map at times. But 13km is well within the 20 or so KM killradius of a Pantsir. KH-38 has a range of what, 30 or 40kms.
Equal AGMs could easily be given to other nations, but they were all denied as being “OP”
One system for one nation.
The Pantsir should not be brought down to other nation’s capabilities, other nations should be brought up to the Pantsir’s capabilities.
Agreed. at the same time, CAS can at least spawn outside that kill radius. giving them time to re-position or come in from other directions.
In some aircraft, like the Tornado. If a Pantsir fires at you the moment you spawn, you are dead. There is nothing you can do about it, and that is not fair.
How are you gonna buff something like the ADATS to be as capable as the Pantsir tho?
You cant, but we could get the ASRAAM truck, would perform about equal
You have the option to spawn at the airfield, a function that should be forced on all planes in GRB.
There is missile travel time, if your RWR is pinged you should evade. You should evade immediately anyway as flying in a straight line at 5KM alt is too low and an easy kill even for systems like the Roland.
Pantsir does not ping most RWRs, only 2 I know of is the Gripen and Su-25SM3.
Tornado for example, cannot, detect pantsir lock or launch. At all
Doesnt work. Pulling hard G turn and flying away from the battlefield, whilst trying to evade, does not provide suffecient defence for a Pantsir. I tried last night multiple times and was shot down every single time. Only chance maybe is to dive towards the ground and pull out of the dive as late as you dare, but the moment you try to climb again to deploy PGMs or GBUs, you are dead.
The main buff for the Tornado that might help is our missing 1200 chaff. Being able to dump a load of chaff the moment you spawn might buy you a few more seconds. But probably not enough,
You do get a directional indicator for the Pantsir on the Tornado, nothing else though and PGMs sadly tend to not lock on ranges above 10km
Ive never noticed anything, but maybe i’ve missed it and yeah, they nerfed PGMs hard, we could get the same IR seeker head in the AGM-65Ds, but alas, we are stuck with a TV seeker which can be a bit hit and miss.
The Pantsir shows up as “S1”, but it doesn’t really ping, it literally just shows up on the RWR
Hmm… I dont know if i’ve ever seen it in the Gr1, though get it in the Gripen
This is why they allow you to select take off from the air field. You can fly low and before the notice you it will most likely be to late.
Would future radar jamming with things like F15E affect the pansir or no?
how is it easy when it can track you easily, players gotta use alot of skills just to kill a single pantsir, but the new su-25 can easily do that 40km away, it’s easy to dodge if the pantsir user is bad, so again it’s not easy it needs a nerf or add multiple SPAA’s to other nations also.
Potentially.
At least its radar, though it can launch and track via IRST right?
Tornado could likewise get Sky Shadow ECM pods. That certainly is the other option. Just give CAS some additional defensive aids
This. Plus, most GRB have a tight airspace, usually the range can be around 20-25km MAX. Making it bigger is better and allows for more opportunities with CAS/Air-to-Air combat. Maybe Gaijin will take this into consideration?
