Pantsir-S1

Exactly

I can bomb pansirs with my A-7E but German tornado can not, it lacks weaponary and flight performance to do so(i am not talking reliably, i mean possibly)

The PGMs are classed as missiles and not bombs game wise, so they can be shot down by proxy fuse munitions. Bombs can on the other hand only be destroyed with guns (or direct hits in general maybe).

Problem lies in Germany not really having any aircraft to be added for worthy CAS, except the IDS we already have. Not all nations can be equal, they werent in WWII and lower BRs before going into modern ages either. Like at beggining we had Me 262 vs MiG-15 and Sabre A-5. Simply gotta deal with that. Unfortunately there is no other way.

When the answer to “X nation can’t fight Y nation” is “don’t play that nation then” is kinda BS. And when 9/10 nations struggle Vs Pantsirs. There isn’t a lot of options left.

When the balance is such, that you need to play the soviets to beat the Pantsir. Then something is deeply flawed. Besides I’ve seen loads of soviet Vs soviet games at top tier recently. So even that is no defence

Regular bombs yes, GBUs for some reason not even with regular gunfire when we tried that.

At this point toptier is X nations cannot fight Sweden cause 122B+. So it already happened lol. Try playing ZTZ99A or Arietes vs 122Bs and 2A7s.

That is half true.

The tornado IDS is massively nerfed, missing loads of loadout options, equipment, even it’s flight model is placeholder.

And there are later variants of the tornado with more equipment and upgrades

Tornado can have a chance with further air spawn and that is a really good and reasonable chance

Would be cool to get good missiles in all nations not just italy and the U.S and of course… USSR

They can make that happen as i said, i have no issue with that. Its like ARB that needs to get EC, to be playable again above 9.0

some maps have barriers as big as the pansirs range , this should not be acceptable

Fr. Some maps give you an air spawn at 11 km’ from the battle field

GBUs shouldn’t be any different. I’ve had Pantsirs shoot down my GBUs before (TV guided ones tho), maybe laser guided ones are just built different but I doubt that. I think it requires a bit more than 1 stray hit as well, usually when I see people try shoot down GBUs in the bomb cam, they just miss all their shots. So perhaps it may have looked like hits client side, but server side they were all misses. Or they changed it in the past months.

My GBU’s don’t explode mid air whatever you. You can shoot missiles and bullets at them

Here’s an example, 9 months old tho: https://youtu.be/FFipM6ofZwM?si=Dy0ZJrwfI8EMsxRH&t=311

Idk, had it happen to me as well. But again, they might have changed it, I haven’t really played enough for it to happen again lately.

Realeased one at a panstir today and he shoot at that thing with everything he had. He died

Neither the Pantsir, nor the KH-38s on the new Su-25 should have been added.

The USSR tree would have been fine with a Tor, that way most nations would have been on an even playing ground (Italy, Israel and Japan currently lacking competitive SAMs at top tier).

Giving the Su-25SM3 KH-38s with the specs they currently have ingame was straight up unnecessary and shows how bad of an idea it is to add air to ground armament with ranges of more than 10km.

Not exactly like the Pantsir, but there’s some… interesting things available.

Yes, those are SLAMRAAMs. And 9Xs.

Yes, in my experience chance of intercept is rather low, the guns are not that accurate at several kilometers. Maybe accurate enough for a plane sized target, but bombs have a much smaller profile headon. So what I think is that usually in most cases is that all bullets just miss believe it or not. Pantsir/Tunguska probablly have the highest intercept chance of GBUs but even they can fail very often. (lofting) GBUs are also rather fast (in their terminal diving phase, they can exceed mach 1), so you don’t get much time to react either in terms of gun range. But shooting down GBUs is, or at least was, definitely possible.
