The missile does not track your aircraft’s heat plume. It is saclos, it follows the pantsir’s sight. And the pantsir can lock onto you via radar, or via optical trackers (and if i remember correctly, you can’t break the lock of the optical tracker with flares). tl;dr no irccm on the missile of pantsir.

tor m1 would be the best overall spaa system if its tracking system actually worked, which it doesnt. Gaijin have this weird system where the prop nav mode follows your crossairs and not the actual locked target. This is exacerbated by the imprecise nature of ground vehicle locking compared to fully stabilized helicopter locking, afaik 9m331 has the highest delta v of any sam along with a high max overload. It could be great but gaijins halfbaked sam mechanics hold it back

It gets 8 missiles (8 more than the M247 because it doesn’t have any), it gets a radar with 6km more tracking capability, and the missiles it gets aren’t matched by anything the US has to offer until 11.7, a whole 10.7 after the Tunguska.
Now that I’m checking more of its stats, why is the Tunguska lower than 11.3? It’s only slightly worse than the XM1069 in pretty much everything except for armor (which the Tunguska does have worse armor).
