Panavia Tornado (UK versions) - Technical data and discussion

Just wondering about Tornado F.3 AOP(AKA Tornado F.3 Late.)

We already had inferior SHAr FA.2 at 13.0 while USA/ITA had their AV-8B+ at 13.0.
and we now have luftwaffe’s F-4F KWS LV(F-4F ICE) at 13.0
Also, we will now have JA37DI at 13.0 for both regular and premium.

Plus, We will go to face Superior F-15E/I with an insane thrust ratio which will be an even worse opponent than F-15C at 13.7.

While Tornado F.3 Late is gonna stay 13.3 forevermore.
is there any point in playing Tornado F.3 Late at this moment?

I believe Gaijin is overestimating the effectiveness of BOL when combined with a proper RWR. :/

I hope so.

Really hoping for the Tornado F.3 to also go down to 13.0 (and maybe the J-11A to 13.3)

Basically, no. It’s the weakest 13.3 by quite a margin at this point. Would be fine with fixed BOL and Phimat pods, but with essentially no CMs.its a chore to play.

Absolutely no justification for it remaining at 13.3

Hopes that comes quickly…
really.

For now, It seems there is no reason to play with her unless you are on the ‘having body-pillow of Panavia tornado’ level.
feels like the Good points of Tornado ADV vanished, but keeps all of the bad points.
I also like Tornado but this seems beyond over than my threshold :'(

Still better than [not implemented at all] status, Just like JA37DI though.

Sorry, it was half joking with hyperbole.
erm… but still, we have some planes stuck in painful BR for a long time due to [not enough statistics for buff or nerf]. MB 162 or French B-26C might be an example maybe?
I am just worrying a bit about Tornado F.3 Late becoming one of that kind. :|

I want to see the CSP come to the game.

Does anyone know if the RWR changes will affect the Tornado?

They will not, our RWRs are maintaining their threat libraries as we have full source materials for them.

That’s good then, I remember reading accounts even in the 90s of Tornado pilots knowing what ground based radar system was tracking them.

Does that extend to the Gripen, considering it’s masquerading as an RAF aircraft and would have the same threat database as other RAF airframes?

I forwarded a report on its RWR, but I don’t have any updates as of yet.

Absolutely absurd they went ahead with this change.

Pretty much all digital RWRs used in the west are made to the same standards and share the same threat libraries and can be updated with a software update…

Pure bias.

Its not about that, but we got different data that allowed for it to get threat ID.

Does that also go for the Eurofighter Typhoon in the future?

Rare time though that we arent the ones being screwed over by a blanket nerf/change

The double standards on gaijin is pure comedy,

“Dual mode Brimstone is too powerful for the game”

  • tries adding grom2 in the same patch and renders nato rwr useless for no reason

I just dont get why it was only nato RWRs that were hit with the nerf

Looks like IIR PGMs might be coming with the update?

Vehicle lock range 20km rather than 12km, it has a lower track rate of 2.5deg/s while TV has 10, angleMax (seeker gimbal limit maybe?) is 54 while TV is 45 but that could just be a typo. As far as I can see the other seeker properties are the same.

PGM IIR+IOG will be available for GR.4 and the RMV. The other PGM carriers will retain their TV versions. But the TV version is also getting a range increase and IOG.
