9.7 AA is allowed to be better than 8.3 CAS.
Your F-84F can’t see Ozelot or Gepard 1A2.
Attack AAs first, that’s CAS 101.
Making F-84F go slow is pilot’s fault.
You can lock vehicles with TV bombs.

9.7 stingers SPAA are better than 8.7 and 9.0 CAS aswell.
Literally nothing between 8.3 and 9.0 can compete with Ozelot and Gepard. Even 9.3s and 9.7s fair poorly against them, with the only plane even standing a chance being the A-4E. Even the A-4E is pretty limited in the CAS role having only 2 Walleyes.
You can’t attack AAs when they’re hiding.
No, F-84F has insanely shit energy retention and acceleration. You’re going to have to make a turn at some point.
You need to be well within stinger distance to lock onto enemies, outside of that you only lock onto the ground, which defeats the whole purpose.
They used to track enemies from further away, but Gajin for whatever reason decided to nerf, and move the A-4E up at the same time.
The nerf alone, or the BR change alone woulda balanced it.
That’s good.
F11F-1 is pretty damn nimble and can carry 4 bombs at 9.0.
What did you expect, half a dozen of TV bombs at 9.3 ?
That’s why you find them.
Plan to do your hard turns in places where you’re safe, not directly above the battlefield.
Stingers and other early IRs turn into a wet noodle after a couple of seconds going vertical, so dodging that should be far from hard. TV guided bombs have much larger effective range than dumb bombs or rockets found on other vehicles at that BR.
No, it’s not. 70sp vehicles shouldn’t overpower 500sp vehicles.
It’s an event vehicle and has no ballistics computers.
wdym? I’m not saying Walleyes are bad, I’m saying A-4E is very limited.
This is about losing speed. You lose speed no matter where you turn.
You still run the issue that it’ll lock onto the ground and not the vehicle when you’re far away.
yes
Wait until you figure out why they’re different BRs
So that it doesn’t face 7.7s
Since you need to be babied here you go:
8.7 and 9.0 CAS are at those BRs because they are worse than 9.7 SPAA, if they were direct equivalents they would be 9.7. That’s the whole reason BRs exist, better vehicles are higher than worse ones.
Since you need to be babied, here you go. When you have two vehicles within a BR range of differing SP, the one that costs more SP should be more powerful (this is obvious to 99% of Warthunder players).
Wow, USA is worse off than other nations at this one BR bracket?
Now let’s look at all the others…
So you think your 8.7 plane with magnitudes more ground killing power than a 9.7 SPAA should cost less to spawn in?
No, I thing that a 9.7 SPAA with magnitudes less SP cost should have magnitudes less killing power.
Which it does already? It’s pretty hard to kill ground vehicles with stingers don’t you think.
They do. Any plane that is in the air when there is no spaa will be able to kill all the tanks they want with no competition. While stingers on the other hand cannot kill any.
This isn’t about SPAA v.s ground this is about SPAA v.s air. Most people would have caught onto this by now . . .
Then spawn SPAA.
That has nothing to do with what I said. Im arguing planes have alot more killing power in most situations. If you dont like spaa just spawn a tank!
I just realized this is more ragebait, nicely played.
Most? You mean one situation, and that situation is when there’s no SPAA, and that almost never happens. It happens on occasion, and boy is it amazing, but it’s rare, and you called it “most situations” is just a load of crap.
Sorry, but pointing out something that 99% of users already know isn’t ragebait.
Guess what, there is only one situation when stingers can get kills, that is when there is planes up. But of course stingers are very bad unless used on a player who isn’t paying attention. I think you just need to improve at playing cas and then form your opinion again.
You mean literally every plane that is doing anything other than actively looking for stingers to dodge?
Yes, you need to pay attention to your surroundings. I know it might be hard not to tunnel vision on the target you’re trying to kill, but it is possible and I believe you can do it sometime!
