Overperforming!? What is it? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Decided to give a comparison of just how absurd ace crew endurance is.

Crew skills don’t make a difference ™. Pay attention to left side of screen with LDF.
By the way, it also resets rudder. Then rudder kicks right back to where it was. Result? My non-aced 109 is theoretically more likely to enter an accelerated stall from sudden rudder movement.

00:00 Showing Ace skills
00:40 Accelerating Ace test
01:00 Beginning Ace test
02:00 Ace test concluded
02:30 Showing Newbie skills
03:05 Accelerating Newbie test
03:30 Beginning Newbie test
03:37 Newbie crew G-LOC (first of many)
06:19 Newbie test concluded.

Key take away:

109 F-4
Aced crew can sustain 6.1G for at least 1 minute (test stopped because ground was in the way)
Newbie crew passes out after like 4 seconds.
Clearly, Crew skills make no difference.

The entire yak prop line?
Being above average in all flight performance aspects with 2 downsides such as “small ammo pool” and “lost performance past 3.5km of altitude” is not a balancing factor.

BMP-2MD and T-50 Finland both should go up 2 BRs

My friends and I made a pincushion out of one. 3 of us all hit it with the 100mm from the Somua.

My particular round went straight down the cockpit and hit his engine, and that dude flew back and landed.

3x good hits from 100mm cannons… I might even still have the clip I took but I’d have to look.

the F-5 sustained turn rate and overly cold IR signature.

Most russian and ww2 german vehicles overperform dramatically in some way or the other (mobility despite awful gearboxes and poor quality steel acting like immaculate plate)

Excuse me what?

T-62 is one of the slower loading tanks, and is no way a good 8.7. And it’s reload seems appropriate given how the Abrams and other similar tanks reload at the speed of lighting in game.

The F-5 family. I love them, but they are overperforming in sustained, and more annoyingly, IR signature.

Underperforming? Harrier family. They should have the minimal IR signature. So hard for them to flare basic IR missiles when IRL they where able to point the nozzle’s down and spoof missiles

the abysmal STR of harrier (should be close to hunter) i would accept if the thermal issue was fixed

Does solid shot do nothing? I will look at this

Oh it does damage, it’s just a dice roll.

The second AH-1G that came by I hit once and took hit tail off with the 100mm

Soviet flat nosed APHE shells. It’s utterly ridiculous that only the USSR has AP that overperforms their IRL sloped armor penetration. Meanwhile, everyone else’s AP doesn’t even come close the sloped penetration of their IRL counterparts.

I can’t speak for german helicopter but the fragile American helicopter is the Apache which has famously been shot down by small arms fire before, the cobra family especially including the Zulu are actually pretty damn tough for a small airframe, with I believe the standard for the cobra being it should be able to take a hit or two from 23mm hei (obviously this does not apply to the cockpit). But helicopter tend to just be hit or miss in war thunder for example I never have trouble swatting a ka-50 out of the air, but trying to kill a MI-28NM can feel damn near impossible with the amount of damage I’ve seen them eat.

The Mi-24s and KA-50/52 should be the tankiest helicopters in the game though. As they are irl.

Sure maybe but theres still a difference between tanky and taking three sam missiles falling a thousand feet out of the air on fire and being in good enough condition to repair.

  • Russian ERA (kontakt 5): fix it so it stop eating completely sabots or making them bounce, they should not be able to protect you from side shots.

  • High Fire Rate autocannons same precision as low fire rate autocannons: increase the bullet spread from cannons like bmp2 one

  • Fuel tanks stopping shells that are not chemical related: make them only affect chemical rounds as heat or hesh

  • Bmpt: ammobelt becomes deadly if hit, no matter if from the turret or hull, and delete ammo box

  • Multi lock on saclos spaas: It clearly makes a difference in power from spaas that can only guide 1 missile at a time such as flarak, from spaas that can guide multiple such as pantsir or tor. Deleting it will make them really deserve to be at the same br.

  • LDIRCM: it shouldnt be able to affect 5th gen missiles and EO missiles (like spikes)

  • Helicopter radar signature too low if none

  • Aphe of 35mm spaa guns are bugged that sometimes can overpressure tanks without pen, or they have same he dmg as a 75mm aphe shell.

  • Bushes not covering your sights if placed on them in arcade and realistic ground battles

(Smth underperforming that really upsets me its the nerf of big bombs to decrease lethality, and napalm not able to kill tanks)

Actually, evrey single APHE round. But we said no to realistic APHE, so feel the consiqunsces of being killed by Soviet APHE gun plane.

The XM246 is overperforming. It is actually in my opinion, the best 35mm Anti Evreything. Why, the guns are close together.

You can’t disprove something that doesn’t exist.

I actually agree with gaijins stance on videos being inadmissible cause it’s super easy to misinterpret them/get things wrong compared to a document. Like for example irst scan speed.

for example, for one I wanted to do, if videos were allowed, I would’ve reported r-77 wrong motor burn time or r-77 maneuvering delay ages ago but you can’t because they’re inadmissible.
