Orders in air realistic

I’ve done it before. I’ve done 5 before as a 1. The match ended in my favor. As I kept dogfighting the last person, I turned the fight into a 1 v 1, and neither of us could win the engagement.

So your entire response is as someone else said “Cope” or as I call it “Copium”. As the moment the 3-minute timer runs out. You will see the one who activated it. Another thing, how about you blame your teammates, not the order? Cause the Orders didn’t do jack. It was your poor-arse players who died and failed to engage anyone.

But how often do you win a 1v5 really just because you can do it once doesnt make it repeatable or work for everyone else.

Im sure we have all had our freak match that went really well… but they are arnt as common as how often a blind hunt is being used.

Were you in a downtier or uptier? What were the levels/experience of the other team? Were you flying an aircraft thats considered meta at the time?

I have been stock to spading the Hunter F6 in the british tree this week 9.7BR its pretty bad at its battle rating. Sraams sometimes work, no flares need to carry rockets as makeshift flares and not the fastest around this br. Is able to be in a full uptier vs a J7D if a blind hunt is popped on it, its not an easy fight to get out on top of. Vs the Hunter F58 9.7 better missles and flares/chaff.

Vastly different playstyles for the same "aircraft"at the same br.

Its not so bad for meta aircraft that can hold thier own at and around thier br. But there are alot of planes that dont have any real shining strengths, that need every advantage they can get. Have a beacon shone on you that gives altitude, range and direction of travel makes the situation terrible.

The best part of most matches is the second half where there are less players, so tactics positioning knowing how to fight your opponent matters more than the intial phase of battle. Where your skill shines or lack thereof.

But being spotted for 2 minutes really forces your hand and throws alot of your plays out of the playbook.

Now i think as engagment ranges get over 3kms with advanced missles is this more of a problem. In prop tiers blind hunts effect means less, speed and climb rate being alot slower you can have a general idea of your enemies location. And i find they work inversely to jet tiers as the last pilot on an enemy team has gotten the most kills and its the team with higher numbers wanting to find where he is for an upper hand.

If you read that message. I didn’t say “I done it once”. I said I’ve done it before, implying that I have done it several times before throughout the 8 years of playing this game. Effective players will always make something of this sort a pain. However when you get very poorly coordinated players. Not really an issue.

Also, I’m going to quote Top Gun Maverick. “It’s not the plane it’s the pilot”. Even an experienced player can make a really bad plane look better than it is case example->Defyn. You can tell in some of his videos. There are aircraft that he doesn’t enjoy using. While others he doesn’t mind and can tolerate or enjoy. Experienced always outranks everything. But it isn’t perfect. Most of the battles you could account for into that formula wouldn’t be counted. Also, not everyone uses a Blind Hunt. Nor is it a bad thing. The whole point is so matches aren’t being dragged along.

I’m sorry to tell you but unsure if you ever spent half an hour trying to find someone but I have, it ain’t fun. Hell, I’ve had times where we were bombing and shooting ground targets aka doing sorties cause the enemy plane was Zomber. We only would have known if it wasn’t for a blind hunt.

To summarize->There are pros and cons and the pros outweigh the cons in this entire claim T4T made.

I didnt imply you have only done it once. Im just saying its not repeatable consistently. Ive had matches the same getting 7 kills but they are outliers and not a standard match.

I do suffer through this as i stock to spade aircraft and move on to the next besides using a premium to unlock majority of a tree before switching over to just pure tech tree. I will admit during events i will reuse certain aircraft that are in the meta to finish the stars efficiently.
But i go through stock to spading and i know my aircrafts strengths and weaknesses.

The game isnt perfectly balanced, sure its the pilot to a degree but some planes arnt in the right br/compression/meta.Some planes are rarely seen in matches quick example F4C probably one of the highest br aircraft without countermeasures.

My previous point the Hunter F6 for britain is the same br as the Hunter F58. Tell me which one is more capable at the br?
Ayit vs any other 9.3?

Yes the teams factor in heavily but also matchmaker. I had a match the other day my team was 9.3-9.7 enemy team was majority 10.3-9.7 with some 9.3s and a prop

If we are going to delve deeper there are more issues than blind hunt. You tell me that the best pilots in war thunder would.have an easy time with the above matchmaker?

Defyn is in a league of his own sure i love his videos. But you cant compare him to the average player base. Some of his older videos are prior to bigger matches, different brs and before certain vehicles got added. There are certain aircraft he wont even play without alot of pressure from his community. Sure he went 52-1 in a sakeen but did we see every match.

Zombers are easy to catch without a blind hunt. Check score board see they are bombing, they have 4 points on the map they can go…
Watch map to see when a point gets hit move in. But also you should be predicting and positioning for the base they are going to bomb.

Ill check the kill feed when i feel safe to see what the opponent aircraft is so i know what im up agaisnt and can plan accordingly what my strategy will be.

We have the red square, there is also ai aircraft will do spotting for you, they attack ground targets there is a band they can be in. There are many mechanics in the game already for locating an enemy. This is “realistic” air battles. Let me just call in the awacs to find you

The pros are in prop tiers where an aircraft can fly off to narnia and drag a match out, but now there is no ai ticket bleed just smash ground targets. Jet tiers isnt the same as closure time is alot faster and you cant hide at alt and off in the cirner of the map. Bombers in prop tiers are also purely a bomber you dont expect them to come in and win a 5v1, jets most are multirole and carry offensive armament so can threaten you.

Mate you’re playing only Jets. There is a massive difference in how this game performs in prop BRs and early -WW2 and Cold War era jets. If you are going to base your information only on jet then you already have lost the argument that you are defending.

I fly every aircraft available in a tech tree until its spaded including heavy bombers from Rank 1 and up.

Im only using my “jet” information as it is recent and fresh on my mind.

I have mentioned prop tiers previously and i agree the game plays out differently from WW2 to Jets.

Yes… except I can kill said player and go stealth again before the 2nd guy arrives very often… I also don’t even get the chance to HAVE 1 kill to myself if they use an avenger or blind hunt first…

Far less than I would be able to without wallhacks being involved thats for sure~!

I try to survive/run whenever they abuse the blind hunts. And if I am still alone whenever the timer is about to end I use my last known position/vector in order to set an ambush. Very rewarding when it works.
