I personally like not having my ears assaulted by constant annoying loud noises
There is no aimbot. You can simply lock onto an aircraft, but you still have to aim.
Everything in this game produces extremely constant annoying loud noises. lol
Id argue the assist is far too powerful. I frequently get killed by SPAA from a perfect hit to my spitfires engine and the player always has a controller next to his name. nothing else on the plane gets hit, just the engine
Which is esp. perverse since the Abrams is actually one of the quietest MBTs.
Sound is probably the most unrealistically modelled aspect of WT. You absolutely should not hear anything around you in a plane or tank while your own engine is running, and you should not be able to “turn it down” unless you turn off your engine completely. None of them should be adjustable except for the tinnitus, that is just crap to anyone who actually has it.
Its a goofy immersion breaker to anyone who has ever served on a real AFV and as mentioned it gives players who have good audio equipment or who don’t have hearing disabilities an unfair advantage.
this is true of all modern MBTs but turbine engines become quieter than conventional engines over the same distance. i think war thunders engine would explode trying to do that right
so because you dont like people to lower the volume of their engine you want to disabled this option ? bro if you like the sound of the engine then max the volume, but you cant force people to do what you like or want
Not an aimbot. It’s only a target track - You still have to do all your own ranging and leading your shots and can still absolutely miss. Only thing it does is help you keep track of the target and that’s it.
As for the base topic, players shouldn’t be able to manipulate game sounds like that. It produces a cheat-level advantage just like ULQ does.
It’s not about taste, it’s about strategy and immersion, there is an arcade game option, but i don’t know why the players and the gaijim themselves ruin the “realistic” mode, make the arcade players play in the arcade
You cant talk about realism when any way its not, I did a topic where I explain how the leclerc engine is quiet irl, its not in the game, so any way even if the engine sound is at 100% for everyone, its still not realist.
Lowering the sound of your own engine is absolutely within the rules of WT.
No, its making your own rules. Only because you can means not you should. Same goes for graphic settings.
So… you run with maxed out own engine noise, grass in sight, and cam from the gunner’s sight?
yes
uh huh… sure.
Yes sure.
Anyone can go to the settings and change engine volume sliders.
By that logic, if I start using sim controls in an RB match, everyone else should be forced to do so because otherwise I’d be disadvantaged.
After playing on my laptop recently while my PC was getting fixed, playing on ULQ is actually a disadvantage.
No it’s Gaijins rules.
There’s nothing unethical about not wanting to hear the same monotonous noise for 20min.
My PC would explode if I ran this game on 4k. I have no choice other than to to use low quality or ULQ to get 60 fps without stutter.
It is always nice to read people attacking others because of game settings someone is using.
I wonder how many people have grass in scope turned on
But there always has to be something to blame, otherwise it would mean that it is a skill issue
