Yes,… because they would be questionned about the Completed MAUS, which is an assembley made by Russians with the V1 turret over the V2 chassis.
So they found the issue of balance much more viable.
But if it was a balance question, they could have expanded BR and have Late WWII and Post WWII vehicules ranged depending of the ability to kill the MAUS, as such many Post war Vehicules don’t have ammunition that completely penetrate MAUS from every angle, and only some Late WWII stuff have firepower able to to have the same capability.
Those changes were possible, yet they prefered to kept us BR compressed, but no one saw that.

The problem then is how to match all tanks from Post-War that are “too low” in BR.
The proposed mechanics is currently impossible to implement for basic Gamemodes.
But, Gaijin could have maps and tanks relatives to specific battles of WWII (Koursk, Ardennes 1940/1944, Berlin, Tunisia,… several others) , and have those modes in the Event Gamemodes as they have done for Helicopter Arcade PvE (which is a complete gamemode in Event Menu, but present all the time) for exemple.
This could make people to have this option of Historical combat, and let the current gameplay possible for others.

Except all this does is either screw over minor nations cough cough sweden, or result in queue times for anyone playing said vehicles being heavily increased.
It aint happening, plain and simple. If y’all want the PzH 2000 at a higher BR, get it buffed so it belongs there, dont ask for balance-breaking “historical” mm.
Yea it really ain’t happening tho a guy I know gave a cool proposal similar to how Israel was implemented.
Basically there’d be a huge gap between WW2, Cold War and Modern, so basically all those 3 eras would be isolated from each other, that’s kinda it. It’d lead to balancing issues but it’s not like they care about balance anymore.
And yeah some nations like Sweden would get stomped but that’s how it is…

this, i do too, i just dont like to find some modern tanks like a M109 on AMX-10P or a BTR while using WW2 vehicles, it ruins the immersion, and i know some were made post ww2 but these still can fit for it and look very ww2 like the “M42 Duster” which something like a BTR-80 or M109 doesnt look like a vehicle from ww2 at all

So countries like Sweden, Italy and Israel with lots of post war low BR stuff just spend hours in the queue ? Or you move all their stuff up far higher than they will be playable to keep queue times reasonable ?
Honestly, every time these WW2 split ideas come up, I can’t help but feel it’s just Germany mains wanting to bully Sherman’s in their Tiger 2 / Jagdtiger / Maus, with little to no thought given about the implications for everyone else.

A: oh well, sucks to suck
B: well those are fine since x, y, z (oh look now it doesnt matter)
C: well you are not supposed to fight mbts head on, your 70mm of pen can kill from the side
D: just remove them

To be honest, after the Nth time seeing this thing somewhere like Rhine or Bulge or Moresby or whatnot while it’s zeros fighting mustangs and corsairs or spitfires on bf109s/fw190s…
And similar weird prototype aircraft, I question why Sweden didn’t get the same treatment as Israel and start at rank 4 for its domestic aircraft, letting Finland fill the WW2 vehicles if absolutely must.
Similar vibe seeing Xp-55 and XP-50 for what it’s worth.
In a WW2 only situation, Japanese tanks end with 5.0 + one 7.3 prototype. Sounds like great fun
Because it has plenty of good domestic options, (J9, for one, and the J22s/J21s if they werent ovetiered), Gaijn just hasnt added them.
Most of their aircraft are at least semi unique, whether it be by having different cannons (J9, J8A, etc.) or by actually being domestic aircraft/Heavily modified (Mörko-Morraine, T18s, B18s, etc.)
i get what you say, but on my part it goes for any country, maybe you feel this right now because i mentioned Sturmtiger and PzH2000 but i would said the same with any other nation, it doesnt matter here (on my case, since Germany is not the only nation i play and as i said, i also want modern German vehicles removed for that “WW2 mode”)
while it may be weird, it wasn’t just a prototype aircraft and actually did go into production, although by the time it entered production (basically end of WW2 I think) it was already outdated and outclassed. it also served as the base for the J-21R which is literally the same thing but it just has a jet engine, again a production aircraft.

My issue is mostly that in this WW2 only mode, in the higher end of it there’s going to be very little reason to play anything other than Germany.
The vast majority of things that currently counter the likes of Tiger II / Jagdtiger / Maus would no longer face them, and the end result is simply that these things would club. No one else has a late war lineup even remotely as powerful.
The things which the allies had on their side in 44/45, like sheer weight of numbers, logistics, mechanical reliability, air supremacy etc aren’t factors in a WT ground environment where numbers are even and vehicles operate in best condition.
I recall WoT trying something to get around this a while ago, where it was historical WW2 era matches, and the teams were asymmetrical (I.e way more allied stuff), but the game mode died because ultimately, everyone wanted to play the powerful German stuff and queue times were horrific.
You could add things which just missed the war like IS3 / Centurion to try and give reason to play other countries, but we’re talking about singular competitive vehicles vs Germanys entire lineup of competitive stuff. It would be unfair.
