Hey no worries man, that’s why we have a comment section. So we can discuss it and explain things!
am not a man you can call me ms :D
thank you a lot for the kind comment and explain everything and have wonderful day
As we don’t have a summer event anymore, this could be really nice to fill that gap!
This might be one of the best aditions to the game if it ever gets added, I absolutely love it. It’s such a shame that it’s functionally impossible to obtain the vast mojarity of past event vehicles apart from randomized loot boxes, which I would not mind if those get replaced with this idea.
If I could add one small thing to your concept, it would be the ability to add recieved stars to a vehicle without fully purchasing it. Example: I earned all 12 stars and used them to get a vehicle worth 9 stars. Now I have 3 stars left which is not enough to buy a vehicle, and spending them on a decal or decoration seems like a waste (in general I think the cost of decals/decorations might be a bit high). I would love to be able to invest those last 3 stars into another 9 star vehicle, so next time the event comes on I already have a head start on that vehicle and I only need to earn 6 more stars to get it. I think this would help a lot with getting through the tech tree considering you can only ever get 1-2 vehicles per year for a single vehicle type.
Other than that, it’s a fantastic idea! It’s a great way to get a couple vehicles you really really want, while still keeping them rare and special for the people that already have them. Big +1 from me!
Very great Idea! +1 I love it. But we have a problem: Paper Vehicels. I do not like that these are available during the Operation. They were never real, so they should not be here. Maybe only half papervheicles, that were partly build, like the e100
That is a pretty cool idea actually. It would reduce the multi-year grind for the event quite a bit. Something like this would come down to what Gaijin would want sadly. Because every event must have some kind of heavy grind Gaijin can use to get money from people xD
Yeah opinions about these vehicles are a sensitive topic. For my suggestion I simply included them because they are unobtainable vehicles at the end of the day.
Me personally, I don’t like unobtainable (Or damm near unobtainable) things in videogames. I want there to be a reasonable way to get everything a game has to offer.
That being said I also want the paper vehicles to get a model update to make them at the very least historically accurate to the actual blueprint. Like the Panther II, which should have a different turret and a 75mm gun.
Made a little update to the suggestion
I liked some of your ideas in the comments, it helps to give people a better perspective on how adaptable the event can be. So I’ve made a dedicated section where I list the onces that work really well with the suggestion!
I also added a Table of contens at the beginning of the suggestion
I’m glad you like my idea, and honoured that you included it!
On a small sidenote, the Ha-Go and tier 1 French tanks that you put in the example tree are not event vehicles. They were never actually removed and are still obtainable via research, though now you have to unlock tier 2 to be able to research them.
Oh damm you are right! xD
I completely forgot that was a thing. But oh well, I’ll keep them in for now I think. The illustration is just a visual aid at the end of the day, not a final product.
Interesting proposal though I believe it has some issues
- First are vehicles that were removed because they were fictional. This includes the Panther II, Tiger 105, and R2Y2. These vehicles don’t hold up to War Thunder’s standards for what an acceptable vehicle is and should not return.
- Second, the Maus. This is already available during the yearly birthday event. I think this proposal would be best suited as a replacement for said event, but if not the Maus should not be available so the birthday event is still special. Also, the E100 should be under the Maus to protect its rarity and because the vehicles it’s currently under are removed
- Third, vehicles relocated to a new tree. Things like the American Merkavas or Russian Type 69 or the various German Italian aircraft, that were included in one tree before their current tree was in the game. These should require having the proper tech tree version (or closest equivalent e.g. Merkava Mk 3C for the Mk 3D) before they can be acquired for the interim tree
Oh wow I put a suggestion similar to his as well, but yours is a lot more elaborate, might did not even get accepted but rejected without explanation.
Seeing how elaborate your suggestion is im very glad about it.
I think you are putting to much focus on the specifics. I simply took a neutral stance and included pretty much all nonobtainable things. Opinions regarding paper and fake designs differ a lot between people. And at the end of the day it’s up to Gaijin to decide what to do with those vehicles.
As for the Maus, and perhaps some other vehicles that return once a year in other special days. I think it might be good to put them all in this event instead now. You create a much more unified event where they all show up again. But again it’s up to Gaijin to decide this.
Oh that’s unfortunate to hear yours didn’t get through. But I’m glad you like mine! :D
I think this would be really fun! I’m not a huge fan of the paywall idea though. Kinda wish you hadn’t given them that idea… Regardless, I support this! +1
That’s the problem with trying to be neutral when making the suggestion. I had to include some other ideas that most people won’t like :P
Yes but the snail doesn’t need more ways to take our money =.=
I generally like the idea but not the biggest fan of 2 things.
-
Locking event vehicles behind regularly purchasable premiums. It just seems a bit unfair since the original event vehicles were free to obtain.
-
Adding just regularly purchasable tech tree premiums to be obtainable via stars. This is not as bad it just seems odd to be able to get them this way.
I’m not the biggest fan of your first point as well, but we might have to take it as it is literally the only incentive Gaijin has to add this.
For your second point, they’re not?
For your second point, they’re not?
The SAV 20 and M4A1 FL10 are both purchasable via GE at a quick glance. Maybe the sav is only occasionally on sale but I know I bought it with GE and the FL10 is a regular GE premium.
Oh yeah, you’re right, not sure why those are there. I’m unsure if he intended to
