What in the actual flip flop made Gajin decide the XM246 is the only Gepard that needs to be raised? ALL the Gepard like vehicles deserve a BR increase, yet the ONLY one to get moved up, is the one thats the slowest and has no APDS. Gajin apparently thinks the XM246 is equal to the Za-35 which has 3x the max speed, and 1.3x the PWR.
To be clear, im not contesting raising the XM246. Its still too low. Im contesting one of the weakest Gepards being raised while all the others stayed put.
I guess this is what we get for requesting equal tanks to other nations. Equal tank =/= equal players.
the rooikats have high theoretical top speeds but the itpsv leopard is much faster on basically every map in the BRs rotation. never got one above 50mph even down hills
But i do agree they should ALL be substancially higher.
Playing the chieftain marksman (as an anti air not even tank hunting) feels like cheating its so OP and thats literally the worst of them all.
got my second fastest nuke ever in the za-35 two days ago, that has no APDS and the radars so big you give your location away too much to use it. worse traverse than the rest and worse mobility than the ITPSV leopard yet i was able to bang out an uncontested nuke within 8 mins. its disgusting
because the APHE changes got voted out (i hate whoever voted against it) you one shot M48s and most others with a cupola smack, face ww2-early korea gen jets that never stood a chance and are (excluding chieftain marksman) some of the most mobile on the battlefield is ridiculously unfair
they all need to be moved up by a whole BR minimum.
i have found a whole new level of hatred for them since starting to use them and ive been using the worse ones.
the chieftain marksman is an easy 8.7 SPAA godly for air defence but sluggish in mobility, it is unfortunately a chieftain hull. Centurion Marksman would at least be quieter for the same trash mobility
ZA-35 is a 9.0 even easier.
gepard, 246, type 87 and any i missed are a flat out 9.0
ITPSV leopard because of the hull is a 9.3 for certain as it beats the rooikat unless it was a stupid map like red desert. However lower to 9.0 would be more understandable than the others being lower than i suggested as the marconi marksman radar is not super accurate and drifts all over the place

i just remember back when they were a lower br than the sidam 25, it made me so happy when they got moved up in the big economy changes that got reverted
i feel one thing that probably drags the gepards stats down is that people who dont use them as super ratty vehicles spawn them in as a last resort when theyre already losing, like one of my friends has like 55% winrates pretty across board but like 35% in his anti air because he never uses them unless he’s died enough and is already losing
thought i might as well see what they are like properly after toying with players trying to shoot my ww2 meteor from several KM away, just to see if it was just me thinking they are worse than they really are.
they are worse than i thought, people are just morons and start firing way too early or spawn them when its too late to matter. also rely on radar detection far too much.
my K/D in them still looks like they are bad but thats just from when i was still a new player trying the thing id just unlocked. Absolutely wipe teams out in them
but we already have two 9.0 spaa… why do we need 3? i mean 8.7 seems fair - and in no way is the xm246 going to be better than the imp chap or the m247
3km is when the 35mm KDA is getting into range and yet ww2 spaa shoot that range lol
still plenty of times where they still hit that tho. the planes they face are slow enough.
Dont get me wrong i hate cas but the SPAA options are just as unfairly balanced as the 3.0 fighters with 1000+lb bombs, they are just underutilised until everone gets a search/track radar with a lead guide and then they are spammed too much

i think the sgt york should also be bumped up, just as pretty much every other SPAA in the game ought to be. Seems to be a KDA gun SPAA on steroids. im not asking for SPAAs to be compressed into 9.0-9.7 but they all get bumped up to match the era they are from to the era of planes they face much more close
Nope, M247 should go down to 8.7 or 8.3 so it could send more CAS mains back to air rb to bomb AI targets, where they belong. No more ruining the experience of players who just wanna play tanks bro also give that VEAK back its HEVT so it can swat flies like the M247. All SPAA should go down because f CAS thats why
