That is why addition of TO mode could improve Combined Battles. In combined battles would stay players interested in that mode. It could also decrease ODL in combined battles as premium ODL players could have better time grinding in TO mode.

I’m pro TO-mode. I think this whole CAS situation, which can sometimes get out of hand during a battle, is not good for the WT community.
I actually only wanted to drive tanks in WT. Since I lost faith in the long run that a TO-mode would come, I started to learn how to survive up there.
And I can’t emphasise enough how much the WT community helped me to learn the necessary skills.
And I think I’d look into TO-mode from time to time. Just like TO-mode players might have a look at Combined-mode from time to time.

It may be that it served to solve the problem, in the same way that they would also balance the CAS correctly, or that they would improve the SPAA so that they would have some effectiveness. But lately I am seeing that gaijin is caring quite little about the balance, the gameplay and the realism.
Of course they do not care about that as it does not generate as much money as premium vehicles and new tech tree vehicles. Just look how long it took to make more realistic Vikhrs. Only after everyone already had Ka-50 and it was not sold that much anymore they fixed beam riding rockets so you can only launch 2 at time.
Im aware Talisman cost Golden Eagles but if you don’t have them and go for a Premium Vehicle instead its more expensive, like no one stopping you from buying Golden Eagles and buy Talisman for the Vehicles you like.
I find that better out of several reasons :
- Get to play the Vehicle(s) you like at every second Rank (if you just want to grind)
- Can field an actual proper Line Up
- Don’t have the play same Top Tier Tank for hundreds of Matches
- Its cheaper
Yes, it’s cheaper but players like new and shiny stuff more which is obvious from a number of battles with premium vehicles.
And as I said above it’s a win-win for Gaijin. Whatever players choose they need to use real money. In fact, selling premiums is even better for them since it requires more money than a talisman.

No, you just chose to play it like that lol which there’s nothing wrong with it since depends on your mood or preference. But “have” to play like that nah, there are many ways to play GRB.
My 6.7 Line up lol it’s weird to see players asking for TO who ain’t even trying to play tanks. I don’t ask for TO yet I play tanks, spaag, planes, helis everything available to put up a fight. Most of the time I come out as the top 3 in many matches I’ve been on.
I don’t think WT has been a team game. There is nothing that would foster teamplaying. Most of the people drive like lemmings towards the CAP zones or got to the sniping spots we all know and start spawncamping.
You get shot and have a repair time of 50sec. In 98% of all cases, people just drive by without help repairing. Teamplay? no.
Two tanks on a CAP one should think that one would cover ur a… - but no, the guy leaves you alone. Teamplay ? No
AirSB, same thing. How many times you go on as strike mission and you can ask 100er times for getting an escort, no one cares. In reality all go after the bomb targets, on best case you survive worst case they steal your targets or your kills. Many times I get into a 3 vs 1 situation. You call for help and no one comes. Or the other way around, they see u engaging a Su27 and all of a sudden 4-5 F-16s are there trying to nail the shot. Some manage a TK other go in your way or collide with you. Teamplay? no
I fly in my F-16 for the sake of fun and flying some mission. I care zero about stats or SL. Most of the people do however. I go up and fly escort. With this, unless I shot down anything, I earn exactly nothing. Most of the people in AirSB want to get some compensation. For me the SB is a simulation and a replacement of Falcon4 which I have been in dev team and flying since decades. I Falcon4 I was able to fly 2 hrs sortie with a wingman without any encounter. Look here in WT. No one wants this. Its all about kills, SL and compensations …
If I go out in a TD in GRB and position myself nicely, I get an activity percentage of 0 to 20% while the role of a TD is sit and wait, ambush. Thats the GJ thing. Playing the correct role of a tank or a fighter rather punishes than making any gratitude. And on top players will complain as you are considered inactive and not supportive.
If you go into MSFS2020, scramble an F-16 with your squad and do some training flights, thats when you get teamplay!
Here, everyone plays on its own and if you are lucky, your team has some skills to not get spawncamped, but in the end, the vast majority of players will straight go to spawncamp. And thats exactly the point when I hit the exit battle, no matter who does it, my “team” or the others. I tell them on chat to move away, if they don’t change, i leave even if this is the first spawn. And if I say spawncamp I also mean those that shoot over the whole map from their hill into our spawn hill or those that have no better idea to spawn KA50 and go spawn camping too.
Good bye - because of player behaviour. If everyone would play respectful and stay out of the spawn zones or would not missuse known bugs in the maps to their advantage, then a lot of quitters would stay

Ive had sniper positions and player in my team tried to push me over the cliff 😆
Did not work and he learnt a lesson, dont mess with the wishie. I blocked his evade enemy and he got destroyed
Haha. Happens to me if I spawn Israeli tanks. People go straight up to you and try to push you into the water or kill you other ways
From now on in protest for the way the game is being handled by gaijin i will now have a 2 vehicle line up. 1 tank and 1 plane

Nice one. I kill CAS with SPAA/Plane, u kill tanks with CAS. Get to see both sides of the coin. Did anyone try to stop you in that game?
I just know how to deal with them.
Shot down many A2D-1s, AD strike fighters already along with many other CAS planes and prevent them from getting multiple kills with a single plane.
My “lineup” is much more simple.
It also brings a lot of crew XP so I can boost crew level really fast. I have more crew slot because I sometimes use them when I play with friends in squad but when I am solo I do not bother filling them up. I also never use backups as like I said before, I do not care about combined crap what it become after a while. Every day I wish they announce addition of TO mode because it would improve quality of game for me by a lot and I think it would also improve quality of game for players that want combined battles because there would be less ODL in their mode.
