One Spawn Quitters

For the rest of the thread readers who more are interested in discussing solutions than hurling insults, “rewarding” players who don’t leave in one death is a problem of Gaijin’s own creation with the game structure. There is no “meta” game (World War mode and Enduring Confrontation are dead) or strong in-game community where this behavior would be rewarded or punished socially. Matches are short and instanced, reducing the pressure to perform well consistently and encouraging giving up quickly to get to the next match.

The only true levers at this point are the grind, and the in-game experience. Gaijin already attempted to propose a monetized “premium consumable” feature which was widely opposed. Perhaps the only current game feature which could be used to reward good behavior would be the existing lootbox system.

You’d care about what would become a severe lack of easy kills.

You’d care about the game shutting down because of lack of funding.

There’s plenty of old coots that may suck at this game but over the last decade have put in enough money to pay for a brand new car. It’s that kind of funding that Gaijin is interested in compared to your moaning that has literally zero monetary value.

Your argument is subjectively and objectively worthless. Not just to the playerbase at large but also to Gaijin.

I just got 659 points for 2 kills and an assist, if I got 2 kills and a death I wouldn’t have made the threshold.
And what about ARB where a kill and a death wouldn’t allow you to make the threshold at all aswell.
Punishing people for performing bad by your standards is certainly a take, and it not a good one.

i respawned 1 time and left after death, he - 4 times. who was more effective, me or him?

They could just make a game mode of “endless death match” where you can spawn your tank in random locations of the map over and over again.

Because that’s essentially how many players play this game. They have one tank and then they play with that one tank only. 30 min realistic ground battles are won/lost as soon as after 45 sec since 30% of one team already disconnected by that time. Those disconnecting players are not interested in the end result of such battle so why drag them along. Let them have their own game mode.

I think you did both :-) You where effective and efficient.

You basically starved that player of any chance to get a kill. Not a sound argument.

the thing you forget is that if you have a squad of four gaijin magically finds teammates for you that are completely useless. and puts another 3 squads of 3-4 people in the enemy team. and even if this was not the case in 70% of the matches the key problem about one death leavers is that they remove the effect of your skill on the result of the game.

in 90% of the cases in high tier you dont win or lose a match because you did something important or skillfull. most of the time the matches are decided by which team has more one death leavers. i dont want to play a game where my acting in a battle is not important for the outcome of the battle. and this is not what games are made for. movies work that way or listening to music. but games are made for interaction.

Ideally they should be filtered and added to a different pool of players that is then evenly distributed to both teams. That way both sides suffer equally giving at least some form of balance to the game.

Or Filter them only in one side of the team, so they will always lose the matches, and the other players can get the xp for the win

Dont forget they bum rush enemy spawn and die not get enough SP for CAS

I got an idea for premiums. Gaijin should give the whole Rank for a purchased premium thus it will cut down ODL. At the moment you can be on a team that can drop so quick in numbers it only ever spawns 16 tanks versus 48 to 80 tanks for the enemy.

When i see my team drop and some is saying in chat where is everyone. Im like everyone has ODL. Resilt. End of match

It wont happen as it would be advertised as such and it would affect selling of premium vehicles.

ODL situation plays right into Gaijins hand so why would they change it.

Your not making sence, it would in increase premium sales, if you brought a rank 5 premuim tank, you should get all rank 5 tanks with it, thus a full line up. You still have to grind the lower ranks and upper ranks. It will stop the i have a new premium and ill just play 1 tank till i research 1 rank above. Concidering premium pack say vidar is £45 not z bad deal for both parties

It wont. ODL started with high BR premiums being implemented with full freedom of usage. Gaijin wants short games so players cannot do research properly and buy golden eagles to boost research.

With premiums automatically grind whole tech tree rank range as they get full RP for whole rank range while vehicles at certain rank get full RP only ±1 rank. So any limitation to premiums would affect their sale and thats why nothing happened to ODL issue since XM-1 and Leo A1A1 L44 were introduced.

I get what you say about lineup but as I have said ODL situation plays into their hands and wont change.

What are you on about limitations, ive not mentioned limiting anything. I own premiums but i cant understand what you are going on about.

Did they stat that, or is it just a conclusion?

Where did you get this from?

Why do you think maps are getting smaller and smaller? Small maps limit any valid armor tactics and ensure quick engagements and quick games. The longer game lasts the more RP can be accumulated by players, meaning grind would be easier. Thus they wont short games to make grind harder so players buy golden eagles to boost research.

Why do you think there is no more air EC? Game lasts 3 hours and one could accumulate so many RPs to fully research planes he was using and one or two more.

I also own premiums and I used Obj 120 when it was 7.7 to research whole rank IV in 3 weeks by mostly using only that vehicle. I did have proper 7.7 lineup but using whole lineup would take me more than 3 weeks to research 18 rank VI tanks.

Well if you are not limiting players they will still use only premium vehicle regardless to having lineup as its most effective research vehicle.

I understand gaijin are gready barstwards, but i think half of what you are saying is speculation

Its is some sort of speculation but I speak from experience since closed beta. ODL has happened before but was not an issue like it isi now till XM-1 and Leo A1A1 L44 were released in patch 1.7x (cant remember exact patch number). So if they are bothered with ODL issue they whould have fixed that in 6 years by now. But obviously its not issue for them.

One Death Leavers i.e. quitters ruin so many matches its insane. But luckily its not so bad at WW2.

But its really annoying - sometimes a lot of people don’t even spawn into the Match to begin with for the whole duration. Two days ago i had a Match where seven (!) people on my Team didn’t even spawned into the Match and we lost and got Spawn swarmed in no five Minutes and that was at 8BR. Most Matches at 8BR still seem fine however.

But Top Tier, and its not just 10BR with the Premiums, including 11BR+ is just dumb. The Vehicles are great and fun, even more so i don’t understand this playstyle, but i don’t like playing the Matches there at all. No five Minutes into Match all quitted.

People just instantly leaving on impulse when they die like some other games where ppl just Alt+F4 the second they go down and drag whole Team down with them and its here get killed once = insta quit and then hop onto next match where they continue to do so

Lots of ppl with just a quitter mentality, no team spirit, tunnel visioned on some self imposed grind which isn’t even efficient that way (time/length of a match and victory are the big modifiers where you also get most RP from not kills, a cap is also worth 2-3 kills), hopping from one match to another and leaving each one mid-match w/o there even being consequences to it
