One Spawn Quitters

Looks like I’m now in the “one try club”. A very inconvenient new feature that prevents you from continuing the game. If the game does not continue by pressing “enter”, it ends by pressing “Esc”…

Rewarding players to incentivize them to not leave the match will only lead to them leaving the match. Cause they would still be paid a reward of some sort.

There is a issue with this, if it’s just not the mood, and I get cross map sniped, like on the Antarctica map, then it should not be shamed upon, but if you take a 1 tank lineup and intentionally 1DL, then it should be removed. Therefore, it’s extremely bad to implement.

The game allows any lineup combo so even 1 vehicle lineup.

For Gaijin two things are sacred. Premium vehicles (because of money of course) and queue time.

They won’t raise the minimum vehicle lineup requirement because of premium vehicles.

More punishment would affect queue time so they won’t do that either.

Then you are part of the problem

There’s lots of competitive games where ODL isn’t common and there’s no penalty for doing it. Punishing the players because the game is not fun enough to keep their interest is like banning cars to keep the roads from getting more potholes. You’re only doing it because it’s easier than trying to get Gaijin to fix their game.

As long at Gaijin wont work on the cause to why people leave ( a shitty br system, lack of tool in the great rock/paper/scissor plan (ESPECIALLY anti air throughout nations ans brs), horrible map designs and more) people will leave.

You guys are hellbend on punishing the players, when its Gaijin who is the problem.

and that way NOTHING will change, people will still leave because of factors made by Gaijin.

What they can do and what would help is allow respawning the same vehicle once or twice without backups. Like some reserves or entry vehicles. Due to the game RP-economy, that would be a strong incentive to respawn.

A good example of how to turn a problem into someone else’s problem.

Gaijin decides how the game works. Some players choose not to like it and use the option to leave a battle early. The players who use this option care little about the consequences for others because they feel left alone by Gaijin. At the same time, they penalise those who are least responsible. Now some are surprised at the backlash they get from the players who suffer from ODL.

At the same time, ODL keep clicking on the famous “to battle” button and expect something else to happen. But the same maps will come again and again … sooner or later. We are all confronted with the same situations over and over again. In the end, it’s the thrill of facing these situations and working on yourself to get better. The amazing thing is that when you face these things, the frustration disappears and turns into fun.

If you haven’t learned this in life, you won’t learn it in a game.

Another good lesson on top for some who feel the need to ODL … It may happen that you feel weak. You don’t have to admit that here now. A simple basis is to take this weakness and turn it into a strength.
A small example … You just want to drive your favourite tank and don’t feel like driving anything else.
Work on your survival time. After 10-15 minutes, hardly anyone will accuse you of not really trying.
I, for example, have a big patience problem … What did I do … the KV2 ended up in my line-up. Currently 36 seconds reload with my crew … yes, you learn to be patient.
It’s a great feeling when you end up with 8 kills in a round in this moving house.

-remove spawn limit and SP increase for ground vehicles ( same way events work)
-bigger maps with more zones maybe ? 5-7 zones

probably a couple more of suggestions, but that are the easy ones

Exactly. Gaijin made a game that allows 1 vehicle lineups. Or a situation when the player doesn’t even have to spawn a ground vehicle if he uses a helicopter.

Its LITERALLY their game.

People have been voicing their concerns about those problems for years and nothing is done, and you still blame the players?

Fix the root of the problems, otherwise it will never get better dude.

True. I’m not going to stand up and say stop with the ODL. I just want to show that there are other ways and that you are largely responsible for what you do with it. Whoever decides in favour of ODL has made a decision. I don’t like it. But that’s my problem and I’m not going to make it yours by forcing you into a situation. ODL often force me into unpleasant situations and sometimes even gloss over them.

But why do some people cope better with these problems than others? Can we as a community not learn more from each other instead of constantly blaming each other for everything? Maybe even play as a team?

That is true, I have been witnessing it for years too. But I have also witnessed, theat these people didn’t agree amongst themselves as to the reasons.

And it is also true that the reason in vogue at the time changes almost instantly, when Gaijin addresses the currently fashionable excuse. Repair comes to mind…

I could now elaborate as to why I think it happens and what could be done in a positive way to allign ODLs with gameplay, but I already did tell my “one change to improve the game”.

i LOVE playing as a team, i LOVE those close and exciting matches.

But an example.

Right now im working on my 9.3 swedish lineup.

9/10 matches are uptiered against Russia. (and others, but almost allways Russia)

I don’t get those fun and close matches, i get kicked in the teeth and feel more like a xp pinata than anything else.

So i leave, because there is only this much punishment i can take before i snap.

So who is to blame here?

Me for getting a shitty experience?

OR

Gaijin for giving me a shitty experience?

Which one is it?

I’m sure I’ll make myself unpopular if I say things out loud that hardly anyone can stand.
It is your decision to expose yourself to this experience. Yes, Gaijin has made this experience possible. But the click on “to battle” is up to you.
A parallel thread has just arisen that shows how bad things are for US Toptier. As difficult as it may be, the more players who decide to stay away from this situation, the sooner the snail will have to change something.
Another example. I played WoT for three years. I loved it. And then it got worse and worse. What did I do? Stopped playing it. Was it easy? No.
After almost 10 years, I’ve now looked at it again and God, it’s bad what’s going on. But in the end I have to decide for myself whether I can bear it if I’ve made this decision or not.
Unfortunately, our current society means that people are more inclined than ever to always blame others for their problems instead of looking at what they can change themselves.
The best example is Germany. Politicians have been driving the country up the wall for 20 years and more. What do people do … New elections, new elections … They always look for change in others but never in themselves.
What have I changed? The country. Am I better off now? But so much better!

I am amazed you have to ask that question. Especially since written down the correct answer as an option.
