Comparing guns with missiles is the best definition of you being dense in all honesty.
The closest things comparable to the 2S38 are the 40mm L/70 shredders (that literally outperforms the 2S38 but doesn’t have IRST and proper anti-tank capability) and the OTOMATIC (that deserves the spotlight instead of the HSTV-L). Missiles are other things that needs to be addressed separately
Then add a mechanic that enables two vehicle SPAA setups or adjust the BR of the inferior SPAA OR raise the Pantsir’s BR… lots of options, gaijin does none of them and just lets the pantshitter stay OP
Agree on both of them, they seriously need to add Radar stations/towed radars and Datalink so that many vehicles already presents can become more viable and you can also add other vehicles (looking at you,Patriot system)
At the same time, decompression on Ground is desperately needed, every nation is simply a cluster of confusion with certain tanks literally dominating downtiers
I was comparing missiles with missiles. STRELA vs Mistral. The Mistral is more than 5 times as expensive, with a 97% hit rate, compared to the Strela which is only $60,000 with a 50% confirmed hit rate. Yet in game the Mistral is borderline worthless, and the Strela some how never misses.
Also doctrine is irrelevant, you can say anything is your doctrine but that doesn’t mean it is achievable. Vietnam could come out tomorrow and say that their military doctrine is orbital bombardment from Imperial Star Destroyers and that isn’t worth a singular thought.
Russia is a failure of a military and has illustrated this at every minute level, the assumption that ANYTHING of theirs will work as intended is as laughable as it is ridiculous.
And yes, a good comparison for the 2S38 is the Otomatic, because the 2S38 is better than the Otomatic while also being far beneath it in BR. It’s also better than the 9040s by a wide margin.
Ladies and gentlemen,we have the military expert here on this very forum.
Let me tell US to stop funding USAF/USN programs and Russia to stop creating S-400s /s
Strawman
In all seriousness,i want a balanced game. And seeing how Russian tanks are bordeline bad compared to the Abrams or the Leos,i prefer them to have a strong point regarding SPAA. Just, not that big lmao.
If you’re so dense on the current state of the game, then don’t play it
Bad? they’re literally the same in weakspots, a shot to the side means a confirmed kill, also when it comes to speed and reverse and reload, all of that is realistic, also now the autoloader is a big buff to the Soviet/Russian mains that acts like a spall liner.
So, having much lower profile, armor at high angles that makes APDSFS bounce, empty space and empty turret (if gunner dies), better HP/t ratio, better elevation angles, better round penetration - is worse than not having that at all and not worth the BR gap?
Understandable.
Weird to call it less survivable and show you getting hit with many shots. going through the back out the front multiple times and then driving off fine.
If that’s shit survivability, I’ll have what you’re having.
Additionally, your comment about load times, you know it’s easier to load a new 120mm than clear a 240 with a jam in combat scenarios. I’m pretty sure it also takes longer to reload a Bradley’s, but I could be wrong.
The size of the caliber is irrelevant, so much more to quick reload times than that unless we start talking about like those Taiwanese massive 240lb/kilo artillery cannons.
I think I’ve quoted you before on this. No one will ever be able to convince me otherwise and it’s weird that it only protects one nations tanks. I’m not bitching about France when a round goes internal.
We are obviously not playing the same game. Either playing as RU or Germans or US top tier its always the same. Leos and Abrams can survive a few PENETRATIONS before dying meanwhile RU survives ONLY if you shoot the mantlet first. SPAA being weak on other countries isnt the fault of the RU. US has BY FAR the best CAS stuff
The 2S38 should go up in BR but the HSTV-L should get its fixes/full capabilities, its APFSDS-T round corrected and receive its other round, and remain where it’s at. The HSTV-L is a very good light tank that is excellent on hills and its quick maneuverability puts in work.
2S38 is anti-air anything honestly and easily can play well against 10.0+. Should be 10.7 imo but nothing greater.
The HSTV-L is a better tank for anti tank but it lacks the extreme multi-role the 2S38 has while also being so high in BR its not even capable of seeing the 2S38 in matchmaking despite there not being a large difference in performance in what their role is…
Giving HSTVL a better round would make it go higher than the M1A2 in BR.
That’s the only buff it’d allegedly get.
Everything else isn’t a buff.
@Yontzee
2S38’s BR is already higher than its anti-air capability so that’s irrelevant.
And 2S38’s twin is in Sweden: Strf 9040C.
That’s what makes HSTVL so much better.
These vehicles have their BRs due to their anti-tank performance. After all, 2S38’s anti-air performance is 9.7 at best.
I’m okay with that cuz it’s fast as heck, Great Depression and decently quiet if I remember right. Everything else is what it actually had, but I’m okay with putting it at 11.7 if it gets what it did have. Thats my whole point. It’s not as if it changes anything, it’ll face everything top tier regardless of 11.3 or 11.7. So make it worth the BR or BR increase.
