You cannot be possibly trying to argue a a shell approved for usage in 1957 is comparable to a shell made in 1937. On the Type-96 150mm Howitzer. This is like trying to compare the 1963, Vietnam Era M109 to the M109A7 from 2015. That’s a 52-year age gap in both economics and technological achievements. The only thing that remains the same is the design however everything inside of it is completely different.
If you’re gonna respond please have a better counterargument cause right now bud that is a very flawed comparison.
You should be a little more consistent.

I love how there was a lot of people that were saying “O-I has bad pen it shouldn’t get added!” and were just ignoring the existence of overpressure. I’m glad that someone finally noticed that overpressure in WT is a thing.

Honnestly I’d rather have the O-I added than having Ho-Ri’s. At least the O-I was actually real and looks fun as heck. I may sound dumb because of that but I LOVE the O-I and you can’t stop me

There were 5 Ho-Ris that were 50% finished at the end of the war, but they were very different to the one we got.

Why couldn’t Gaijin just add the real design into the game then? I mean the in-game design is just way too good to be Japanese (since Japanese WW2 were just absurdly goofy) so it isn’t really surprising that design is fake. Also I don’t understand howcan Gaijin add the Ho-Ri, but refuses to add the O-I…
The Casemate Ho-Ri aka Ho-Ri II never existed, its possible the unmodified Chi-Ri superstructure aka “Ho-Ri I” likely did but very doubtful.
The only one that did exist was the one seen for the Ho-Ri Prototype. As you aforementioned.
Where is this so-called claim of 5 Ho-Ri’s existing though cause I hope your claim is not WOT.
One of the various posts elsewhere discussing Mai_Waffentrager’s misinformation. The Ho-Ris that were 50% completed had a standard Chi-Ri hull with the casemate in the middle.

I will use a Reddit comment I made a few months back, hopefully the links all work properly.
This forum suggestion for the Ho-Ri II is very well made, and has a section where you can see the exact excerpts that mention the Ho-Ri and its prototypes that can be found in various historical documents from the JACAR archives. You can translate the suggestion author’s notes so that you can see what information the excerpts are providing.

And just for good measure, I will link these documents here as well (in Japanese of course)

I’m too lazy to read allat :P
But it looks like it has a lot of info
Yep, I can’t read Japanese at all but I did read through the translated old forum suggestion, and according to these documents, 5 vehicles were in the works as prototypes from 1944-1945.
If Sinister is willing to believe the existence of the O-I prototype from various documents of the time, then surely they will find these sources to be credible as well

O-I proto was the one with paper armor right?
Honnestly, if Ho-Ri (the real design) and the O-I finally got added to the game, we will finally be able to get our revenge on American mains
The O-I was intended to have two 75mm plates at the front, equivalent to 150mm of total frontal armor. But from what I recall, the extra 75mm plate was not equipped for testing, and so it only ever had 75mm mounted.
But since the turret wasn’t even mounted during testing either, we can assume that the 150mm of armor would’ve been implemented on the finalized prototype, and thus I’d still want to see it in game.

If the Tog got added with its final design to the game, so should the O-I with 150mm of frontal armor. It can be increased by angling the tank and the turret is also trolly, so you could bounce a lot of shots

I wouldn’t be that surprised honestly.
…Please tell me where I said the O-I was fake. By all means go ahead, please tell me cause i didn’t.
Huh? Not once did I imply that you believed the O-I to be fake.
Literally all I said was that provided you believed in the existence of a functional O-I prototype via text-based sources, then the same would apply to the Ho-Ri prototypes which have similar non-photographic documentation backing them up.

We wouldn’t have photographic evidence cause they got destroyed during the Tokyo fire raids/fire bombings, the bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki that most certainly wiped a ton, and when Japan was preparing for the possible Operation Downfall, tons got burnt. Since they were not aware that the plan had been canceled and it was more of a precaution.
I also do believe that the O-I was functional cause there were possible reports that it failed during its test and got slightly bogged down due to being too heavy. Also, the way you formatted your comments did not make it that obvious.
