Joking aside - probably about 8 cups a day in this house. We wear out kettles every 2-3 years…

That’s why it pays to have a spare kettle to ensure continuous tea-making is uninterrupted. Otherwise you’re into riot and civil unrest territory…

Im now picturing a cupboard in your house that is just filled with spare kettles.

3 to be exact. One currently in use. One spare. One non-electric one that can go on the gas hob or wood burner if we get a power cut.

We take this sort of thing seriously y’know. Unless my family is just a bit eccentric (by British standards anyway) I’ve never known it any different…

Well I know we have a camping stove and kettle somewhere, I think my dad actually keeps it in his van for making a cuppa when out and about. So maybe not totally crazy :D
