i have no clue what they used it for as IRL the gr7 never had guns on it

I think its just a 25mm ADEN pod with a cover on. Doesnt look like a Targetting pod or a Joint reconnaissance pod. Not sure what else could even be fitted on the underside
Well, as it had no guns, it is to keep the aerodynamics and weight centre in the right space

The empty pods need to be there to allow for VTOL, airflow etc.
They are part of the lift system used when hovering near the ground and function by creating a space to trap some of the exhaust that bounces back up from the the ground.
i cant figure out why they had like what was the use everything i find is just speculation
Then why did they stop using the pods later
looks like guns were never added in these pods
They used Tpod and CMpod, they work the same way when it comes to airflow, that is also why when you remove the pods you need the blades
Yeah the Gr7 and Gr9 never had guns but did have empty pods
