It would get better hesh and Sabot alongside better armor with the streetfighter era with better mobility, itll be faster then the TES but slightly slower if not same speed as the 2F

With the ERA basically yes, im not too well versed with British equipment quite yet but from what ive been told thats what it is yes
but all chally 2 use L27A1 and L28A1 aren’t improvements to L27A1
I see the L28A1 is just Tungsten rather then DU
Wish L27A1 would get its 600mm+ pen

Megatron is just a TES (Dorchester 2H) with Barracuda MCS, no other Challenger 2 other than 2E uses the EuroPowerPack with MTU MT883 engine. I don’t think it’s been confirmed what HAAIP will bring to the Challenger 2/3, it’s speculated to be an uprated CV12.

It then reads its not known if the powerpack was retained but it was fitted with it and left for years at the least.
There seems to be variable variants of the Megatron akin to the Type 10, I looked on the old forums and found the passed to developers topic and even there it mentions use of the 2E Powerpack.

Honestly i think a better example is how afaik they have struggled to replace their IR seeker source due to events in 2014.
And its not like those seekers were all that special either given at that point were still not making FPA-seekers. If they were id expect them to advertise it all over their RVV-MD

Exactly, I agree, and yours is the better example as it also highlights that even the simplest components may not be hard to reproduce at all. It is bringing reproduction in large scale the issue.

And its for these reasons im not exactly hopeful about the future of top tier soviet IR missiles as in that department it doesn’t seem like they have much to offer beyond R73M. Which is a missile they could probably add to the game just fine (R74 and R74M dont seem to fundamentally upgrade much)
Now im also completely on-board with making up missiles stats for the sake of making top tier more fair, but it should be done so very openly. Like i can pretend that the R74M2 is a block 1 Aim-9x equivalent. But from what little i can tell about the R74 and R74M, and their seeker supplier issues, i sorta doubt it is.
