all know is that people say it’ll be the most modern Radar on a Phantom and with FnF Missiles that isn’t as much of an advantage anymore as it is in the current SARH Meta where the radar is Key
Just like a Better radar does nothing in the Pre-Missile ranks it’ll not do that much of a difference in the FnF Radar missile ranks now where it no longer decides whether you’ll hit or not
I’d rather stay in WW2 myself but my collector goal has led me to the top of the SPAA line in the UK.
AMRAAM and ARH in general aren’t entirely FnF, it still needs guidance from the aircraft’s radar before the missile’s radar picks up the target.
It should still be a functional fighter at range with TWS that can track through maneuvers unlike the F14’s radar that can only track in a head-on. It’ll just have to stick back away from the fighting and IRCCM IR missiles
