The humble Su-33:
Did we pull the flap for the sole purpose of installing a single 8 inch long piece of hose?
Yes
Bloody mil-6000
that part in Aviation maintenance hasn’t changed unfortunately

I uhh… I think I’m gonna have to play a bit of arcade right now

Bought my first gun (Mosin-Nagant M91/30), and I have to say it’s a very nice piece of firearm manufacturing. Super simple build, not too heavy, while firing a decently sized round.
I’m thinking I’ll acquire an SKS next, haven’t decided yet.
price of 5 games of stock grind 262
Some better shots of the same Beluga XL flying overhead today, this time I got lucky with there being no clouds.
Flashback to 11 years ago when we bought the remaining stock of Griffon heads and banks direct from the British government.
They were bolted and torqued down to this massive plate to prevent warping.
British still had them since they were using Shackleton’s into the early 90s
I wanna say there was 11 of them in total and my boss paid something like 10,000 pounds each.
We bought them literally just to salvage camshafts from since Griffons and their hard chromed valve fingers flake and eat them regularly.
Says a lot about how common an occurrence it was that the manual stated that if you found a flattened lobe to just stone it smooth and keep going.
Merlin fingers were also originally chromed and flaked as well which is why a modification was developed to machine out the lobe and braze in a carbide insert which completely eliminates wear and the engine sucking razer sharp chrome flakes through the internals.
Nice photo, I could only wish I lived somewhere with as much interesting air traffic as you seem to get, I only see low flying police helis and birds.
Caught a civilian* owned C-130J Hercules, an LM-100J, flying over the UK.

I hereby stake my claim for
“Stupidest way to lose the penultimate fight in a tournament”
I don’t see the tree, it’s occluded by my gunsight. I saw it earlier but was confident I’d avoid it.
Too late to pull up but MAYBE I can avoid it?
It clipped my wing and I promptly exploded.
Yeah some days are a bit slow with just loads of Ryanair, Aer Lingus, or easyjet flights but then other days I see some cool stuff.
As if I was tempting fate, nothing interesting came over yesterday. Then this morning greeted by an RAF C-17.
on the 10th anniversary of his comment there’ll be Polish tree, right?
