Yeah, I know the system isn’t perfect, but something is up with SR1 outside of the typical system issues. Mine bugged (in sessions and vehicles, not in the actual rating tab) out on 28th of March. Posted in discord and hoping they can fix it.

Btw, where do you even find parts for this plane? Like, there’s no way there’s still plenty spare parts on the market… This is a goddam P-51

I was hating the ARMs at first but they’re not that bad

They just need to tweak the AA’s to not be able to shoot down every single munition. ARM’s would feel so much better then.

yeah, I usually have to burn at least 2 missiles per Roland/Osa

the other problems I have are it picking up Buks/Patriots etc sites way in the background, and Osas seem to often have their search radars off so I only get reliable locks on them when getting shot at

You’d be surprised, outside massive stockpiles of parts that still exist alongside some new stuff made under PMA the FAA has a system that allows the use of owner operator produced parts as long as they follow certain requirements and there are several warbird dedicated shops that use that system to make parts to the original blueprints.

Aircorps in Minnesota is one of the big ones, they’ve digitized tens of thousands of original blueprints which are available online with a subscription and they have the ability to produce countless parts to original specifications which require some extra steps to go through but are fully legal to use in flying aircraft.

That’s actually super cool, wow

I always wondered, do parts for Warplanes like this one also have the maximum storage times as parts for FAR/CS-25 size aircraft do?

Got myself a new camera lens now.

Quality is pretty good. But now is quite a bit heavier.

Statcards be straght up lying now

It also says this for the Mirage F1C and Mirage 5F, despite none of these planes having EEGS. Heck, the Mirage 5F doesn’t even have a radar (though it does have one in the damage model for some reason).
Also why is the EEGS mentioned in the Bombs section of the ballistics computer, what’s going on bruh

If your thermostat doesn’t have fabric coated wires with more layers of lacquer than a jawbreaker has layers are you even living?

This controls the coolant door and a similar unit controls the oil door of a P-51, they have a manual open, manual close and fully automatic mode where ether in a capillary tube installed in the coolant and oil pipes expands and contracts in response to the temp which pushes on a diaphragm that tells the unit to ratchet in and out as necessary.

They are incredibly reliable, respond to any fluctuations in temp incredibly quickly and incredibly accurate even after 80 years.

They also make a sick beat ratcheting in and out but that video is 120mb which probably exceeds the forum upload limits and users on data plans and I don’t want to be seen as promoting myself with a YouTube video so you’ll have to use your imagination on that

Enjoy your random useless trivia of the day.

I think I’ve just caught some parachute training from ANG C-130’s flying over South Wales.

A pair of C-130H’s just flew west over South Wales before turning south to land at Cardiff Airport and just below the pair before they turned out pops a parachute.
