I’m having a really weird time playing F-15I.
I climb, and attempt to do the crazy high alt / high Mach AMRAAM slinging I see everyone complaining about E/I being so good at, but what keeps happening is I just run into other E’s doing the exact same thing.
And what kind of happens is we both just waste each others time and payload, firing AMRAAM’s that will never hit each other lol.
Tried staying low and playing more conventionally and that seems to be working better.
I guess only thing you can do is to focus those sad players that still haven’t unlocked the beast and just make their life miserable.

I realize what I’m about to say sounds like ultimate luxury problem to have, but it’s actually quite difficult to do.
I sort of feel obligated to climb high and joust with the enemy E’s, because if I don’t (and particularly if there is no US on my side too), who else will?. The 27SM’s / Su34’s certainly won’t.
I feel like I’m just spending my games pre-occupying the E’s, so that they don’t have free reign to do exactly what you just said to my team lol.
I definitely need to re-evaluate how I play this thing. Everyone is calling it OP and I’m so busy fighting (more like mutually cancelling out) my twin all the time, I just ain’t feeling it lol.

It’s your RP/SL gain at the end of the day so I’d just farm inferior planes for the time being.

Tbh, I’ve pretty much completed the tree so don’t need RP anymore (I think I have like 100k RP to go on Barak / Baz Meshupar each, but Ra’am has made both obsolete anyway). Don’t need SL either.
I’m really just trying to figure out how to be most effective in it. What’s most beneficial to the team so to speak.
Am I truly best served doing the relatively thankless task of preoccupying the enemy E’s up high? Or am I more impactful down low just trying to rack up as many frags as I can - accepting the enemy E’s will be doing this to my team too.
It’s tough.

Probably depends who you’re teamed with. If you play with loads of buses I’d say go for the kills, because buses will get fragged regardless. Nothing much you alone can do.

I am fine after the bomb risk on the train, on a positive note I got to visit Grandma from my fathers side in the Hospital. My mum would like me to visit my other Grandma, but for this I would have to take the train…

I was just flying the Me-163 in a custom battle, and I managed to win a guns only duel against a Mig-29. I then had a 5 minute fight with another Me-163, and it was genuinely some of the most fun I’ve had in War Thunder. Not having to worry about consuming ammo or fuel was incredible, alongside having relatively balanced+back and forth fights.
I would recommend it, it is incredibly fun.

Does anyone know why bomb series doesn’t work when you have the weapons selector active? This is the third time now that I’ve tried to release a bomb series and than urgently pushed on the buttons to no avail, slamming into the ground as I can’t pull up in time.
It’s not a bug too a little message pops up about it, but why?
Does anyone else have tech tree’s completely ruined by things being moved / added?
I went a long time without playing my Germany tree, and now, it’s such a mess that i’m completely put off from continuing. I have to grind so much stuff just to de-tangle my way back to where I was.
I really wish there was some way to refund and re-apply all my earned RP, so I can at least go again from a coherent foundation. I mean, just look at this mess lol :

I mean it’s not that bad considering you haven’t played that tree in a decade. Most of it can be solved in a week of active playing.
Refunding all gained RP would be a total mess though.

Is it possible to use user skin of F-14A in F-14B?
When gaijin reworked the TTs a while back I was sent all the way back to rank II on the British TD line.
My German air tree is a mess with multiple gaps, and I was sent back to rank III on the attacker line when they reworked the tree, but thankfully I can still unlock rank 8 without the attacker line. I also lost 70k rp when hey foldered the Mig-21bis.
My French tree and Swedish trees both have tons of gaps due to new additions and reworks.

Playing SPAA this update is a waste of time, and just as I predicted, GBU-39 + Maverick combo and SU-34 spam made playing anything that’s not Pantsir totally hopeless. I wish we could trade in our top tier SPAA for a CAP loadout, seeing as VT-1 are complete garbage past 5 km.
