Okay that’s good. I’m glad we both agree on one thing. The 279 does scare the crap out of me. ngl
Unironically I could support it going up to 9.3 in AB, its just that damn good there.
I wouldn’t even be sad if it went up to 9.3 in GRB. You’d have a line-up of 279, T72A/T64A, 2S25, Object775, Shilka with missiles + BMP3/BMD4 are easily uptiered to 9.3. You’d then have a load more air options. Would be absolutely stacked. The real tank that has suffered with the BR changes is the T-62M-1. Still a good tank, but absolutely no reason to play 9.0 for it.
It’s weaknesses is composite, almost impossible to pen Merkavas at all, I even suspect the damage model is vastly different in AB compare to RB, in RB the Merkavas is so much easier to kill.
Nope, exact same damage model. Damage models are only changed in air, ground just gets buffed stats (Engine HP, turret rotation, etc. No reload speed buff or anything though.)
We better hope not lol not because it couldn’t hang at 9.3, it’s because there are barely any tech tree vehicles in 9.0, sometimes I even think the T-62M1 in many situations is slightly better than the T-64A due to having a better FCS, also a 50 cal comes in handy when dealing with first spawn helicopters coming at a steep angle. The T-64A is totally outclassed by the T-72A, no idea why they are in the same br when one is clearly more superior.
I call the ussr 9.3s the No Reverse Gang
